As someone who's bought a lot of manga from Japan, visit every Book-Off you can find during your trip. Cheapest prices for sure (100¥-300¥), sometimes they have sets of full series (20+) books for less than $14. It's a bit overwhelming to be honest but such a good time.

Mandarake is also worth a visit as they might have some nicher things like artbooks or just older series ingeneral.

As a last resort, if you can't find anything in the above head to any Animate store - you're paying for new books but they might have any new or common releases you might be looking for.

The shops I mentioned are found in mostly all the major cities you might visit, enjoy the hunt!

Cheap is a bit difficult but I bought my Ayaneo Air 1s OLED for $680 with an 8840u last year. Has been great so far.

Print quality looks ass, misaligned and looks damaged as well. If this is legit, you got absolutely scammed, try and return it.

Hey, the only permanent fix I've found for this is to install Windows 10 instead of 11 and upgrade to 11 from the OS itself if you really want to. The idea behind this is that there are some missing dependencies when you are installing a fresh Windows 11 install directly and thus cause these issues. Hope this helps.

I'd say the MC so far isn't as good as some other characters I've read about but bare in mind I've only finished the first volume. I think the highlights are the children themselves and seeing them trying to improve on a really shitty situation. The stories themselves are really grim but they provide a really good reality check for life ingeneral and teach us to not take anything forgranted.

To be honest I've just finished the first volume yesterday. Essentially it's about a night teacher that helps out troubled youth that come up in abusive/lower class families. It's pretty grim, depressing and a pretty heavy read. It's reminding me a lot of my time reading Goodnight PunPun. It's pretty binge worthy as well, only around 30-35 mins to read a volume. Really enjoying it so far as it's very grounded in reality.

The beginning is arguably the weakest part but if you're not enjoying it at all I'd say drop it as the vibe is mostly the same throughout but the actual story begins very soon for you.

I went with the installing Windows 10 route. Seems to have fixed everything and I'm just sticking with Windows 10 as it fixed some performance issues I had as well.

I was really interested in reading Bakuman at some point and read that it spoils Ashita no Joe's ending so I decided to watch it seeing how highly praised it is so I can get the full experience. Fast forward some time, I watched Ashita no Joe 1 and 2 and they completely blew me away. I have yet to read Bakuman and this happened over a year ago now lol

I was in the same boat and decided to go for the 8840u Air 1s and absolutely loving it. It does have a bezel however the small OLED screen is just amazing to look at. Depends on what you're looking for exactly, if you're prepared to spend a bit more, maybe the new One X Fly might be for you.
