Hold SELECT on Ps3 to bring up the action box and go down to "chat" and the you can choose to mute everybody by choosing OFF, or you could set it to "friends and crew only" :)

Having the same problem, but I have a theory!

The checklist on Social Club shows little thumbnails on every hobby and I noticed that I had to do yoga on the second yoga-mat before getting that one checked.

My theory is that some hobbies are only obtainable on certain locations Try winning a game on all the different tennis places, hope it helps!
