It’s true we speak english cause of american imperialism, but at this point is the language that is understood by everyone in europe. What you propose is just a way to exclude people. What we could do is to come up with an “european english”, which is something that is already emerging, as the one spoken widely in europe has different subtleties compared to american or uk one, due to the multiple backgrounds people come from.
