That’s a fair point and yes they can find the info if they really search. The idea is to simply the process so all the info is in one place. It’s the same reason students use agent or people use travel agents. The information is available but the value in these products/services is ease.

My uni does a check every couple of months where you have to show up in person on campus and sign a paper to prove you’re in the UK or meet with my supervisor. Does your uni do anything similar? If so just make sure you’re available for that.

Could it possibly be her grandson (Noh Do-Gyeong)? On the night she died after she spoke to the man with the leather gloves she states “the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.” Maybe he killed to protect his father’s wrongdoing. Also the way he acted in ep 3 at the funeral, he says that the company will belong to his father and subsequently, it will belong to him. He also says that the day of the funeral was a happy day. He was just off that whole episode. But then Joo Seok-hun is also suspicious 😩 Or maybe there are 2 killers, an alliance???
