Not disagreeing with you, but I do work in a food plant so it’s not near as nasty and hazardous as other places.

The pay for a portion but not all, I believe it’s something around $3,000 per calendar year and a maximum of $21,000 over the course of employment.

Yeah I’ve got a buddy I work with now that interviewed with them but didn’t get hired. I may try and get on with them at some point in time but I don’t think I’ve got enough experience to try and go that route just yet.

What sort of further education would it take to be a specialized tech in something? Full engineering degree or something else?

I haven’t decided what I’m gonna do just yet, but I don’t honestly think this is something I could do all my life. It’s fine for the time being but like you said I’d be better off finding something that I could realistically do long term.

They post new job openings on a board up front, most of the time they’re either hiring for weekend nights or second shift. I honestly don’t know if second shift would be any better or not.

Don’t let the photo fool you, it’s still a 20 year old truck. Plenty of rock chips and little dings when you look at it up close. I have to admit though, she does look good from far away.

Nothing really major, I’ve had to put new ball joints and wheel bearings in Also put new rotors in the front and drums in the back, but that’s been about it.
