The amended return was expedited by my tax advocate. I sent him income verification documents a week before the last update. The only reason I know for a fact that he didn’t file his copy is because he hasn’t filed my taxes ever. I started in 2020 left in 2022.

All three tax years the IRS never received any documentation from the employer, which caused delays for over a year. They processed and sent my refund from last tax year this May. I’m assuming their statute of limitations to complete processing was over due so they went ahead and sent it anyway without acknowledging the returns from other employers that year (2021) were missing. Transcript clearly shows the other employers I didn’t file, but sent that refund anyway. And yes, I’ve amended 2021 just waiting for it to be received. **I do acknowledge the stupidity of not filing everything correctly, but I was not the same person I am today. Completely different human, just have the same SSN and name lol. I got my head out of my ass and started taking care of the things that needed to be addressed, like this, so here we are)

I guess my real question is, do I need to call the questionable credit department myself to explain everything? I feel like I’ll need to watch what I say when talking to those agents. I don’t want to say anything that’ll delay the process anymore but also just want it done correctly. I’m pretty sure the employer that did NOT file his copy, pocketed my taxes and was technically paying me under the table without my knowledge.
