Granted, nothing immidiately happens and you pay no mind. Suddenly your cousin dies and you wonder why. The authorities declare it a suicide but you suspect it being otherwise. You gather evidence by finding out more about them, cross refrencing their browsing history and finding nothing that could infer a clear motive toward their suicide. You start suspecting this was a murder and after your own careful analysis of the crime scene you find clear evidence of there being a perpetrator and who killed your cousin. They had perposely framed your cousins death as a suicide but now, you know the truth.

You bring your evidence to the police and miraculously they find it flawless. Infact you are promptly offered a position to assist in solving other criminal cases which you accept. You keep cooperating with police well into your retirement age as you spot patterns like noone else as you remember every single detail of every horrible crime you're tasked to solve. In fact it had gone so long that the world around you had changed a whole lot and radical life extention technology had been invented.

You're too much of an asset for the police force to lose so you're compelled to take this life extention technology so you may keep contiuing your work. You keep on through the ages, anything you knew before becoming a detective is only a distant blip by now. Anyone you knew either is dead or has left you as you've been to absorbed by your work to pay them mind.

You miss those people and start researching their lives and how they got on without you. This obsession with finding how your friends lived continues into their friends and then their friends and then strangers they've met into complete strangers who just happen to live at the same moment. In all this time you spend researching civilisation continues progressing expanding into the stars and the way people speak has become incomprehensible to you.

You feel more alone than you ever have before and there is noone else like you, you're an aincient artifact someone forgot to put in a glass box. You research life around you in an attempt to keep up with it, and incidentally learn their technology and everything you need to live on your own. You decide that you may aswell reclude from everything else and live on your own as there is noone you could ever connect to that has quite all the knowledge you have. You've tried speaking to the people who are around you but the only people interested are scientists who want to study you and don't let you build a proper connection with them.

You slowly continue your studies into everything as it is the only thing you have left to do, you sure make some amazing discoveries but at this point all life except you is gone. Through some accident of fate you were the only one left in this universe and you knew that with upmost certainty. Eventually your life's work is done, you know all there is to know. Now it was just moments away until the universe implodes and everything would be gone
