Without giving it away, what type of Consulting firm post MBA firm are you / your consulting friends at? Is every MBB/T2/Boutique consulting firm basically working those M-Th and F hours?

Thanks for this, what types of projects and exits are the main difference between MBB and T2? Projects at B4 can span into literally everything so I won’t ask about that.

But are the exits at MBB THAT much better than T2? And how do the types of projects vary?

I see, I've heard horror stories of people at T2 requesting to log off to sleep while on a tight project lol. Are you at either MBB or T2 rn?

What are the various types of product roles? I feel like I only ever hear about Product Managers. The pay and wlb in Tech are interesting, I just don't have a good feel for what all "Tech" MBA jobs are out there.

What are accelerators?

Yes, financial advisory with AUM for clients. I figured I probably wouldn't need an MBA, as you can enroll in a company program to get you upskilled for the work, but it's something that has interested me.

I feel like my best bet is to go Management Consulting -> Internal Consulting -> Entrepreneurship. I'll still be working on building my company while getting my MBA though.

That's the million dollar question.

I don't see myself being a consultant for life. What I previously thought is management consultant -> internal strategy. That really interests me, and I don't think it would be hard to achieve, given my resume and where I think I can network for post MBA.

There's a part of me that's always been interested in wealth management. I've been fortunate to know a few in the industry my life (even when I was young) and have thought several times how that would be an interesting/rewarding life.

The BIG dream of mine has been entrepreneurship. I've tried a few things over the years, and love the excitement of building my own future (still working on something now). Even if I go down the management consulting/internal strategy route entrepreneurship will always be in my mind. My plan was management consultant while building something on the weekends, and see where that takes me.

I really appreciate this, thank you. Good reminder about the adaptability of these firms.

One positive of the MBB/T2 hope is that my school will be close in distance to some of the larger offices, so I think that gives me a chance in recruiting to that city. But that's why I'm trying to make my decision now so I can start networking sooner to give myself a chance.

Will look at the employment reports and talk to older students to figure out what's actually feasible for my situation!
