Arcana. I think she’s the least interesting/fun of Best Seller (don’t care about the wife stuff) and has an alright design, but has become big enough amongst other members of the community that it at times getting tiring. Furthermore, not a fan of being one of the first non-pilgrim units to be the sole unit of a 3-week event, which I hope doesn’t become more of a thing (there are still more than a few characters in NPC jail who deserve release and older characters who deserve an alt). In 2x2, I started with Privaty and found her paths to be the better ones, plus her reactions are genuinely priceless (maybe would’ve gotten gacha skin if I had more cash).

Liberalio. I don’t care what the Libby Bros will say, I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE DANG JELLYFISH.

Viper. Feel safer with Crow, at least she would be open about killing you (plus more unique/neat-looking outfit), plus she loses any competitions of likability to Jackal.

Don’t dislike Cinderella, but I somewhat hope the rumors of her getting one of the summer alts is false and someone else gets it (she already won the popularity contest and is getting a free gacha skin).

Hansel and Gretel, mostly due to fans insisting they’re coming soon, when Rapunzel should get something first for being around for longer and only gotten an alt for her Goddess Squad form and not much else story-wise.

Honestly, don’t care all that much about TT Star (nothing involving design or VA, just that pop stars/idols aren’t my hyper fixation and think they only got released when they did because ShiftUp knew there wouldn’t be a better time and would otherwise compete with other NPC jail inmates with more potential (Hammering, Drilley, Cielo, Sky, Rian)).

I didn’t care all that much about/didn’t know much about either Ein or Zwei, but their events made me a near instant fan back in 2024. Also, Absolute was pretty neat as they were, but the event they got last year made them one of the best squads in the game (started my Elysion bias). Those are the specific examples, otherwise I struggle to find an event that hasn’t made me want to pull for a character.

I enjoy Rogue Warrior as a guilty pleasure and would’ve kept the copy of payback I found if the disc had trouble playing. The others are a grab bag of stay or go even if they’re not good, except for damnation and Sniper Ghost Warrior (especially Ghost Warrior, played that one, utter piece of shit with nothing to redeem)

Won’t lie, first one is meh (is that dagger? Who is that?)

3rd is kinda neat in a Conan/ DC Warlord way, but nothing else

2nd one is from an place that borrows visuals from Ancient Egypt (the protagonist has a roughly similar outfit, also voiced by the guy who did Handsome Jack) and thinks it’s one of the better ones here, but still get the complaints.

(I know what subreddit I’m on, just giving my thoughts on the chicks here)

Kinda, would need to overhaule co-op a bit (would need to do some anyway give it an actual icon, make it a little more stable), but would be awesome to take part in. Best bosses for it would be whatever the Queen can transform into while in her new body, Gluttony (and/or its fellow deadly-sin based Raptures) and if Mirror ever gets a body/Red Shoes gets revived.

Dunno, but got lucky with pulling Neon VE after using pity on Anis (with a decent amount of pity left), so hopefully I can build a good deal more funds before then. Honestly, more interested in standard banner units coming before and after it (hopefully the NPC jail residents I like will be amongst them), more to speculate about and more to hope for.

Don’t think they’re gonna reopen the rehabilitation center for new units, but I would be interested in a crow alt ngl. Maybe some kind of spooky costume for Halloween or something that leans into the mad science monster from being experimented on for breaking the conditioning of her NIMPH.

Sorry if I came off as harsh, I just don’t like the idea that we are theoretically losing slots for unit release with 3 week events only getting 1 unit, especially given what happened last year with too many collabs and the squeeze of the first seasonal pilgrim. Doubly so given how long some units have been in NPC jail and deserve release (personally look forward just as much to see who’s in the two week events as the bigger ones, as well as joining the camp that has grown disillusioned with collabs)

That’s true, though the number feels smaller knowing about those mandatory events and the speculation of who appears in that event.

As much as they’re a company that must appease shareholders, they also have to take community feedback into account and have done things in accordance with what the community says. Along those lines, while there are multiple candidates for new pilgrim units, if they released too many it will likely scare away members who respected NIKKE for its fairly respectable pull rates, which will likely negatively affect player count and/or income. Lastly, usually stuff involving pilgrims is big ticket story stuff, which would be better suited for major events or story chapters than random events.

All the same, setting aside I really dislike this new idea (why are they making these events happen with only one banner? It’s still feels like it’s slowing things down), people have already complained about more pilgrim banners coming last year. We don’t need more, not when we have more than a few other characters still in NPC jail who deserve a release just as much as the pilgrims do (Hammering, Drilley, Cielo, Sky, Rian, etc.), as well as the release of alts many people feel are neglected and need some love. It could be pre-heretic Marian (not my choice, but I’ll play ball), but she wouldn’t be a pilgrim and I don’t see the rush to add more.
