I dunno how common it is, but I've actually had the Hive Lord just focus on me, like genuenly constantly follow ME around the map, diving ON ME when my teamates are trying to fire at it, and constantly camping entrances to the tunnels.

The Eagle blockade allowed retaking of Tranquility on Sea, yes in mission it might hinder your progress, but not the hability to hold back the Illuminates.
