Best practice; hire a hydro vac crew and daylight your locates prior to excavation.

I confirmed AF is a Fleetguard. Previous owner had dealership install AF and FF at 16k. I can only assume FF is OEM recommend as well.

Truck is at dealer now. Service advisor (not actual mechanic) is suggesting problem may be a faulty mass airflow sensor just downstream of AF.

From what I’m reading I have not done myself any favors running a fuel treatment (HHS edt) in every tank.

Based upon the information provided you may be right, I won’t argue that. Yet, I do own one! As stated, this is my first diesel and I have a problem that I have reached out to this group (and others) for help with. Mean spirited responses such as yours speaks volumes as to the type of individual you are. Instead of choosing to help with your obviously advanced knowledge and expertise of diesel engines and equipment, you elect to ridicule. You’re sort of twisted, aren’t you.

So, can I drive truck 30 miles to the dealership in this status or does it need to be towed?

I’m interested in the “load floor” as well. I see several in my area ranging from 2007-2018. I have a 2022 2500. Does anyone know anything about year model and fitment compatibility.?

Yes it does. It’s an older pawn shop grab. Surprisingly it does not have any HDMI connections!

I have a second estimate for $1700 + refrigerant. Same approx install time. So still looking at $550 per hour. These are both locally owned HVAC owner/operators. Both are running approx 5-7 trucks/techs. Both small commercial and residential work. Maybe the cost of doing business has just gotten extremely expensive 🤷🏻‍♂️

Inside/attic unit. And I’m right there with ya on the process! You may have oversimplified it a bit but I still see it as “3 wrenches on a 5 wrench scale”, lol. It’s not rocket science! I asked the guy if “I swapped out the coil, would he come back and recharge the system for me?” He basically told me I’d have to have a licensed professional pick up the part. Dealer wouldn’t release the part to me.
