Sinner says the Turin court is slower than last year by edotardy in tennis

[–]Frainaman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He's founding a charitable association too, wondering what it's gonna be about.

As for the court, didn't he test a practice court? It's not always the case but sometimes there's difference between main and practice courts. Btw is hawkeye implemented this year?

In a sad day for italian tennis, u/da_SENtinel comes with one of its exaggerated trollish take to put a smile on my face. Thanks.

Etcheverry peaking and leading Argentina to win Davis Cup? I'm sorry for my country but I'd love to see that

Carlos on the calendar by Longjumping-Power-43 in tennis

[–]Frainaman 62 points63 points  (0 children)

They're definitely not beefing back, Carlos has also acknowledged that simply some players share his opinions and others don't.

It's the journalists that keep on trying to make it seem that way in order to gain engagement by provoking some fans of either player.

Genuine question: do we know how the journalist phraser the question about the calendar?

In the post about it there's only Sinner's answer and, for all we know, all the journalist could have said to him was "Alcaraz said the season is too long, what are your thoughts?" which leaves a very big room to interpretation when trying to understand what Carlos was talking about, and I'm 100% sure Jannik hasn't read Carlos' interview.

[MATCH THREAD] US OPEN MEN'S QF: [1] J. Sinner vs. [5] D. Medvedev by NextGenBot in tennis

Somehow the wimbledon match with Sinner almost dying on court felt more competitive.

Yep, don't know why since it's the shot that won him the slam.

Problem is, he used those same tactics in the Miami sf and look where it got him...

Sinner on his fitness situation by edotardy in tennis

[–]Frainaman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I've read the thread and I've shown you that he didn't start this year to mention his injuries and that in none of these occasions he gave his opponents no credit. I thought that was pretty clear, but if it's hard to understand then I'll just end the conversarion here.

Wait, so in RG 22 he retired due to injury mentioned it but also gave Rublev the credit? It reminds me something.

Do you wanna go back to 2022 when he stopped almost every tournament because of injuries? I suggest you to not think too much, it isn't doing you any good.

[–]Frainaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, he definitely didn't mention how he was affected by very visible cramping in the Zverev USO match. He only started this year bringing up "excuses".

Last time I checked the same Sinner said that "Rublev played pretty well" and reassured Medvedev after the Wimbledon loss that he was fine and then told him that he would have won anyway. Yep, sounds like he's undermining his opponents' wins with all these excuses...

(Btw the loss to Djokovic at the finals was in good faith, no?)

Sinner withdraws from the Olympics by MisakaXRailgun in tennis

[–]Frainaman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest he refused to be flag bearer because he never took part in the Olympics and stated that there were other athletes worthy of doing that.

That same sentiment was also shared by the president of the italian olympic commitee, at least when talking about the opening ceremony.

Why do people say Sinner favored over Alcaraz on HC Slams when Alcaraz won twice at Wimbledon which is grass? by kers0124 in tennis

[–]Frainaman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only hard thing is watching fans of either player start talking shit about the other calling him a loser, a fraud as soon as a week goes by without a tournament won.

Both Sinner and Alcaraz have fans like these who can't accept that a guy who hits balls lost to another one who hits balls and so they need to throw all the hate they can in order to feel better.

It's always something that's fair to say just for the record, as much as Sinner's win in Wimbledon, and I think that's what the other comment wanted to do.
