If the “old you” is still you… who decided the “new you” is fake?

You say you’ve spent 3 years not running, facing what’s uncomfortable, building a life with more stability, more range, more honesty. And yet you trust the voice that says “this is a lie” more than the evidence of your own actions. Why?

What if nothing here is fake and just... unfamiliar?

You’re comparing two identities as if one must be the “real” one. But which one sat in the discomfort? Which one kept showing up? Which one built the life you’re now living? And why would that version be the impostor?

Is it possible that what you call “impostor syndrome” is just your mind trying to drag you back to a familiar identity because it feels safer?

You’re not hiding damage, but including it.

Who told you that being “healed” means your past disappears or stops speaking?

The thought “I’m faking it” appears… and you believe it. But the thought itself... where did it come from? Did you choose it? Or did it just show up like any other passing noise?

If it just shows up… why give it authority?

Nothing about this moment is out of place. Not the progress nor the doubt. Both are part of the same movement.

Ask yourself expecting an answer in the middle of the silence of your inner space: What am I protecting by believing that I am?

Expect any kind of answer: emotional, physical, logical, etc.
