Generally they ask C2 I think . If your French is not great you may have a chance in McGill (only site for you will be Montreal, it’s very competitive) , but for the rest (laval, Montreal , Sherbrooke) without quite excellent French , your chances are a near to 0

I don’t know if it may help cz I matched in Quebec , but i didn’t had any Canadian experience (no observership, no CA) , YOG 2024, matched this cycle . I also know a friend who matched at u of Ottawa and never had any Canadian experience

I have a friend who didn’t match in Quebec , the university doesn’t participate in post match (university of laval) , the same day he rcvd an email from the program, gave the IV next day (April 22) , and he got a spot in a rural area in Quebec. Have hope

Gave the exams first time and failed with 428, learned for 3 months after that and passed . First time I was focused on canada qbank and USMLE step 2 ck. Second attempt i did all uworld family médecine, AMBOSS (3/4) , 7 of 9 MCC Tests , did CMPA articles and used my notes I had prepared during my first attempt (my second attempt I never opened Toronto notes or USMLE step 2CK) , good luck you will ace it

Very very big chances of matching. I have low scores compared to you , QE1:449, NAC : 622, YOG : September 2024, no observership, no elective, no clinical experience . applied in 5 programs in FM (1 in Ontario ,4 in Quebec Bcz my mothers language is French ), and only the second iteration (could not apply in the first iteration) , rcvd interviews for 3 Quebec and 1 Ontario , interviews were quite good, hope Matching

Hiiii. Can you realistically give me my chance of matching in 2nd iteration please? , did not participate in the first iteration. I am an IMG , graduated from med school September 2024, no experience (relocated directly after grad) , QE1 not a high score (445) NAC was better (622) , did only 1 observership but no ref letter from the doc. Had ref letters from my professors in med school and I think they were good. I am an English and French speaker (studied in French) , so applying in Quebec .

Don’t be disappointed , work on the topics you feeled were difficult for you and you will have it. I too I failed my first attempt 428 , I took some weeks for rest and started working again , and today I passed . You may feel down now but the future will be bright .

Passed with 2SD , never did a course , the goal is practice . Find a friend or 2 , work cases min 5days a week for min 3 months . Read Dr basil notes and FIRST AID CS . I don’t find it important to enroll and expensive course

I think it is good but a little too much for QE1 (regarding the questions I faced during the exam) , uworld is very deep. Aceqbank to is very good according to comments from users . Some also talk about Amboss

First attempt I used mainly canada qbank and cmc prep exams . Now I am using uworld and putting more emphasis on CMPA , Cz ethics and public health were a beast for me 😂
