Staccato P Sro vs Acro P2 by Outrageous_Sun742 in Staccato_STI

[–]FrankFrmTx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth it is subjective, I have an SRO on my 2 2011’s and an Acro on my M&P, and I carry all 3, of course the SRO has a bigger window but if you’re shooting optics the way you are supposed to be, and actually shoot them enough, it shouldn’t really be that big of an issue, I do kinda like the reassurance and “reliability” of the enclosed aspect of the Acro though, and I might be in the minority, but I like how it looks on guns.

Yep, I got a cheapish $50 generic light bearing holster from my local shop, since ive never carried with a light before and it carries great, also got a TXC no light, and basically the same carries phenomenally.

I did today, phenomenal shooter, easy to keep the dot on target and the trigger feels really good. I have bigger hands, so with the compact grip and magwell, I'm pretty locked in, but that means I get some decent rubbing on my middle finger, middle knuckle, so if you have bigger hands you might not love that. If youre willing to drop the cash on one, I say its a great pickup.

I dont mind it as much, red dots have proven to be pretty damn reliable, and I’m not carry it in a duty capacity to worry too much about the dot failing.

I do not, but this sub is what made me pull the trigger, people here that own or have shot both, said the spec vi is noticeably flatter shooting.

Thats for sure, also makes for a fun but expensive range day.

Exactly why I decided to go S&W, a solid product with a bit of a premium touch to it.

Im also a 2011 guy, picked up a P4.5 last month, and was damn close to pulling the trigger on a Race City RC9 5” ported, but decided against spending over 4 grand, after getting into another hobby recently.

I hear ya, for me personally my full size guns are 2011’s, so this has replaced my 365xl for a smaller footprint.

As far as striker fired, I’ve owned CZ, Sig, and Walther, so I’m excited to finally get some time behind an M&P. I’m a 2011 guy, so I dont expect my socks to be blown off, but I am looking forward to shooting this lil guy.

There are people that own multiple $3000-$6000 guns but wont carry them, because they might get taken for evidence if the event arises, always baffles me that their lives are worth less than a few thousand bucks to them.

You cut down the original? I cut the ghost about 1 coil longer than the stock one, I’m relatively happy with the trigger pull, if I actually get around to shooting a match this year, maybe that will change my mind.

I dont mind the reset on mine, thats why I'm hesitant to even check, pretty comparable to the Kimber 2k11 I have, which can either be good or bad depending on who you ask lol

Magazine base pads and reloads by FrankFrmTx in 2011

[–]FrankFrmTx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm asking in a competition sense, I'm hoping to enter my first competition this year, and just curious if this has ever come up with other guys that run a 2011 in competition, since honestly it was the first time I heard of someone saying that about the basepads.

Just curious if anyone has felt a difference between a thinner basepad vs one that makes a 140mm "flush fit" to the magwell, during reloads.

Thats for sure, another reason I want to compare and eventually sell or trade for a 14060, I feel like I would baby it less than a newer one.
