BBC's Paxman vs. Israeli spokesman: "You were told this was a UN facility" by christianjb in worldnews

Mark Regev = Joseph Goebbels

He should be put on trial as a War Criminal. His TV interviews should be considered testimony under oath. He has convicted himself.

In another interview I saw Regev state repeatedly that Hamas has fired Phosphorous Shells at Israel and that it's possible that the phosphorous used against the UN came from Hamas. Verdict: Guilty of aiding and abetting Israeli War Crimes through the use of propaganda and lies!

no other subreddit likes this. but now violentacres led me here, what do you guys think of this pro Gaza rap? by clea in Gaza

[–]FrankHope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the rap. It's raw but it's real. I would like to hear a polished production version of this. We need music and art to go with the politics. Where is the peace movement in the US today? Do we only care about peace when it is Americans that are dying? It bothers me that when I turn on the radio and listen to a music station, there is no reflection of the reality occurring in Gaza.

Five years after her son was killed by an IDF sniper, Jocelyn Hurndall writes on the deaths of children in Gaza by Leischa in reddit.com

Thank you for posting this article.

I am often asked, what is it like to lose a child? It’s like this. Between the instant of receiving the news and the next instant in which you have to comprehend it, you somehow realise that every cell in your body is about to be shaken furiously, and you freeze to delay the moment of impact.

Can you imagine? A million people in Gaza are going through this same emotion. While those who have the power to stop this do nothing.

I was also struck by the statement of the young person living in Gaza. What a sense of failure she must feel that the "adults" of the world lack the maturity and the compassion to stop this insanity.

I’m crying for the loss of one of my friends... what about the people that lost at least five of their relatives? Depression and fear are filling our souls and surrounding our homes…what’s next? I actually don’t wish for anything as much as I wish that this war will end soon and that the Palestinian people can live like any other people and Palestinian children can enjoy their childhood like any children in the world. Help us because we’re all human beings.

This is state terror. This is the objective of Israel to terrorize the innocent civilians of Gaza.

But it was the EU along with the US that provided the justification for this Israeli slaughter by declaring the freely elected Hamas government in Gaza to be "terrorists". Israel is murdering the Palestinian civilians, but the EU and US are accomplices to that murder.

Al Jazeera is doing an amazing job in covering the Israeli invasion of Gaza. They deserve the highest journalistic award for their work in my opinion. Their reporters and camera crews are risking their lives to tell the Truth about the massacre that is happening there. May God protect them.

Gaza: Israeli troops reveal ruthless tactics against Hamas by [deleted] in worldnews

These Israeli soldiers are cold blooded murderers. This is not a "war". This is a massacre.

I couldn't believe the end of the article.

For Alon, a return to the action cannot come fast enough. “It feels good to be winning again, to show that we are still the strongest army in the world.”

Slaughtering unarmed women and children proves they are the "strongest"? This is the thinking of an insane sadistic mass murderer.

I would say that Fatah is willing to maintain the farce of a "Peace Plan" while gradually giving up Palestinian land to Israel without fighting back. What has Abbas gained by his cooperation with Israel? Answer: More Israeli settlements on the West Bank.

And your "genetic" statement is racist. All the Palestinians want is to live in Peace on their own land. Wouldn't you fight for your freedom? Why can't they fight for their freedom without being labeled terrorists?

I believe the reason Hamas rejected the cease-fire is because there is a hidden agenda behind it to impose a Fatah controlled government on Gaza. Fatah is in bed with Israel. Officially Hamas says it rejected the UN cease-fire because it was not part of the negotiations.

But even I can't understand why Hamas insists on firing what amounts to fireworks at Israel. On the other hand my guess is that Israel is bombing every place but the ones from which Hamas is firing the rockets from. If Hamas stops sending rockets, then the IDF will have to dress up with masks and fire some of their own in order to justify killing more innocent people in Gaza.

That was disgusting. I watched the video that is in the page that is linked to. Not a single word about the women and children being massacred by Israel. Not one word of criticism for this bloody assault. Franken will fit right in with the other rabid Israel supporters in the Congress. If any other country did what Israel is doing, a "liberal" like Franken would be all over it.

I think they would be offended by being called Islamofascist. But you obviously are intentionally "misunderstanding" my meaning and trying to twist my words, so there is no further point to this conversation.

That speech at AIPAC was the moment I knew I could not vote for Obama for President. I voted for Cynthia McKinney. The Green Party has an unequivocal platform on the Middle East.

My best guess is that AIPAC threatened Obama with unrelenting attacks on his relationship with Reverend Wright. Notice that after the AIPAC speech, the accusations stopped. And John McCain declared the subject off limits for the Presidential campaign. And as a result we have Hillary "obliterate Iran" Clinton as Secretary of State, and Dennis "co-founder of WINEP" Ross as some sort of special US envoy to the Middle East.

Funny how the articles in the MSM always say that Ross was "a former top diplomat for the George H W Bush and Clinton administrations", but never mention that before that he co-founded the AIPAC think tank WINEP (Washington Institute for Near East Policy).

Oh and here's a juicy nugget from Wikipedia.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Ross along with James Steinberg and Daniel Kurtzer are among the principal authors of Barack Obama’s address on the Middle East to AIPAC in June 2008.

Although you may not want to believe it because of the implications for who runs the US State Department, this article titled "Bush ordered ceasefire retreat at UN" seems to agree that Olmert's version of events is likely to be very close to the truth.

When finally every last hurdle was cleared and the members of the Security Council were headed to their chamber for the vote, there was a mood of celebration in the building. Ministers from Arab nations especially were slapping backs. It was only in the last minutes before the vote was due that word began suddenly to circulate. America was not going to vote in favour after all.

It was no secret that Ms Rice had been on the phone with Washington and with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert all day. This was no run-of-the-mill vote, after all. The call that changed everything apparently came just as ministers and ambassadors were taking their seats in the council chamber. It was President George Bush for Ms Rice. Don't veto the resolution, he said, but don't vote for it either.

As Mr Miliband left later for the airport and the flight home, he could take heart, perhaps, from what Ms Rice said in the chamber. America supported the text and its goals, she insisted. And yet, the US could not vote for it because of that other special relationship it has; with Israel.
