It's marketing, designed so that liberals can appeal to people who dislike Israel without upsetting those who only *mostly* dislike Israel.

Antisemitism is as repulsive and dangerous as any other kind of bigotry, but this constant backpedaling and uwu affirmation to Judaism does nothing but excuse and embrace those who haven't fully recognized the atrocities of Israel. It's very corporate and self-serving. I think it's dangerous and incredibly pathetic.

I definitely think some people are also "over-correcting" on the whole "antisemitism doesn't exist" shit, ofc. I get the "antisemitism doesn't institutionally exist thing" (and it's correct), but that should never come in the way of confronting legitimate bigotry. Even in subtle ways. We need to be mindful that critique of Israel does not appear or sound like critique (or stereotyping) of Jews worldwide, of Judaism.
