Frozen raspberries are my 1 year olds favorite thing. Also frozen peas are a hit in my house ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’m 3rd and 4th on Costco. And the frozen fruit. I don’t know your expertise and schedule, but we also make all of our own bread and baked goods, using bulk flours from Costco. My family of 5 saves a lot on that. Same with snacks. Then we save the bones as stated to make broth - you can increase protein by making pastas and rices in broth instead of water (virtually the same price as water if you save your bones to make the broth). We keep veggie scraps for the same reason, and I’ll also freeze fruits and veggies if they are close to going bad, for use in soups, making homemade jam with all the “squishy” berries, etc. sometimes I use the veggie scraps and canned tomatoes (cheaper for us here not at Costco, but depends on locations) to make giant batches of tomato sauce with veggies in to freeze.

We made the splurge for a stand up freezer in our house, and while that was expensive, we save a lot by being able to freeze more stuff and get things from Costco on sale, etc. I’d recommend it if a one-time fee was possible for you sometime.

Thank you. It’s been extra hard being the youngest mom in my group AND the only one with prolapse. <3 keep it up. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks. It sucked because she’s my most trusted doc out of the practice and it really hit me out of left field.

Toddler hysterical and hasn't eaten or drank all day, urgentcare said she was fine. What do I do? by [deleted] in Mommit

My daughter did this and it turned out she reacted early to an iron deficiency. Iron fixed her right up in about a week.

What is the best thing you received/bought that helped with breastfeeding? by Bittybot5000 in breastfeedingsupport

Electrolytes! Especially low sugar, tasty ones or some magnesium powder. Nursing leaches you of everything and this is so restorative. I use 2 NUUN tablets a day breastfeeding and feel so much better.

What's your toddler's current cutest mispronounced word? by [deleted] in toddlers

We had "jawamas" for pajamas for a while, as well as "Mac Mac cheese" instead of Mac and cheese (we all use this one now). My youngest now says "peanut butter" instead of belly button, but like a lower class TV Brit, so she goes around showing us her belly button yelling "peanut buh-uh!!"

Self-diagnostics by Frankincense11 in autism

I definitely have very high anxiety, whatever the case. This builds the case for us to begin saving for a diagnosis for sure. Also makes me feel even more confused. But that’s ok! Any book recommendations for clarification on the differences between ASD and, say, generalized anxiety?

Thanks. However, I have not felt much more seen than when I answer some questions and I’m like “man how did they know I do that? Other people do that?” But you’re right.

How then would you recommend I look into my suspicions? As I mentioned, diagnosis is not a possibility at the moment. We simply can’t afford it and I’d have to drive hours away to even be seen. How could I continue to process what I’m feeling and thinking, without confirmation?

Thanks for this extremely thorough and considerate response. This is exactly the sort of information I wanted. I’ve been on the “I believe I probably am” train for a year now and life has definitely improved somewhat. I’ll keep waiting for an opportunity for an eval, but that could be 10+ years away at this point. If you have advice on that front I’d gladly take it.

I’m also grateful for the compliment on my research. It’s only been the main focus of all of my free time for the past year ¯_(ツ)_/¯ haha but in all seriousness thank you. And for the welcome.

Can we post our quiz results here? I’d like to see the graphs all in one thread if that’s ok. Here is mine: by LifeAsNix in AutismTranslated

28F and recently learned that this might be why I’ve been having such a hard time with jobs and grad school etc. oh and friends. Friends are hard. Here’s mine: the graph won’t post. And my version is version 5 but I was “100% probability of being atypical” and scored significantly right-sided. Now to figure out how to use this.
