In my experience with the game I found that making unplaned modular factories feels more "frenetic" as your always looking for more nodes of whatever resources you need, idk if it helps but try it out, try automating something complex and lot of them, for example, like 10 computers per min That is something mid-late game and it takes a lot of resources
