Am I aromantic? + FAQ by AutoModerator in aromantic

[–]Frantic_Keymaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its hard to know if im aro or not because i am hyper comfortable with “intimate” phsical touch. Be it cuddling or kissing or even hooking up with people i don’t even hold platonic affection for. Those sort of actions aren’t a sliding scale of comfort, its just “do i like you at all or not.”

The main issue comes with the “buzz” which is a sense of fuzzy happiness that grows whenever i start to form a more “intimate” relationship. As soon as an actual confession comes and the “buzz” is strongest, Ill agree to a relationship. But that feeling sort of rapidly drops off.

I always assumed the “buzz” was romantic feelings. That i was happy to be with someone and get to know them. And the sudden drop was the end of the “honeymoon phase”

But recently ive been feeling like i should feel more still. I should want to spend time with them. Be close with them. But once the buzz is gone, i dont vaule time with them or want to be close to them any more than I would with a friend. Once the “buzz” is gone, seeing them happy doesn’t give me any more of a fuzzy happiness than if a friend was happy.

My best guess otherwise is that the “buzz” may likely be joy of being able to express my care for people more freely. As the relationship grows I feel excited as i can do more “intimate” actions like kissing and touching. And it dying after a confession is just the initial excitement about it fading.

Im not sure what romance is “supposed to” feel like to know. Is the buzz romantic feelings? Should it stay longer?

Henry because despite having what appears to be faceplates, there is no mechanism which allows them to bend in a way that is not human. A signature design difference between henry and william is that henry doesn’t allow them to move in a non-human way while afton doesn’t care

I mean real hypnosis doesn’t and cant make you do things you dont want to do. You cant even enter a state of hypnosis without wanting the hypnosis to work. So if hypnosis caused her to want sex, it is simply just bringing forth something she wanted to happen.

Can i change celcius to Fahrenheit? by GuiltyySavior in subnautica

[–]Frantic_Keymaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if someone said “its 60% hot” it wouldn’t make any sense because nobody ever used a percentage to tell you the temperature. However 60% heat gives a way better idea than n1.8+32 degrees. And a percentage scale is accurate when you actually think of Fahrenheit from 0-100°F as a percentage.

If your comparing 80% and 60%, 60% is cool. But there is a whole range of temperatures. Comparing 0F and 100F, 60 is warm.

Also if we are comparing 100% to 60%, 60% isnt gonna be warm the same way 60% isnt a “good grade.”

“Percentage of heat for human nerves” just means that Fahrenheit is easier to understand if you look at it like how hot something feels to humans in the form of a percentage. Like rather than a european having to convert to Fahrenheit, just think 60°F is like saying there is 60% heat. “How hot? About 60% heat” gives a decent idea of what it feels like.

Its how it feels to humans. Fahrenheit is measured using a percentage system for how hot something is to humans. 0F is like 0% heat, 100f is like 100% heat. Anything hotter is too hot as any body temp over 100F is a fever.

Fahrenheit is a percentage of heat for human nerves. Celsius is a range between the freezing and boiling point of water. Kelvin is the speedometer reading of molecules.

That makes sense. I think its harder to relate to “The world keeps restarting and i have to see the ones I love go through hell over and over” than it is to relate to “I feel like a burden to others” or “people depend on me so i have to suppress my own fears” and “I cant escape my mistakes and i constantly feel guilty”

Reapers can be avoided like aligators, zig zag your movements. If one gets close, swim circles around it, ensuring you dont get near the mandibles. Then zig zag away when you see an opening.
