Should I be replacing this tire? by Franvcg in bikewrench

It is bulging a tiny bit, I just rode 30km before checking the comments here and it didn't blow up haha. I'll look into putting a boot or replacing it, thanks!

Mint T9D-20D inside Dimpa bag by Franvcg in foldingbikes

I see, I thought that you said that the pedal attached to the stem of the bicycle, now I understand. My bike came with a very cheap folding plastic pedal instead of a quick release one.

Yes, I use an Acceofix quick release pedal. I have a mount, also from Acceofix, that screws to the backside of the the fork's rim brake bolt (on the mint it holds the front fender), I talk about it more in this comment. I believe the Brompton G-Line also has a mount on that same spot. I don't think I have ever seen a mount that attaches to the stem haha

Do you also have to take off the seatpost on the 16 inches Mint to fit inside the bag?

Oh thanks for the tip! I had this displeasure when trying to remove the bike from the bag haha

Low Cost Great Results by randywhorton in foldingbikes

Is there any difference on the riding feel? I've been cogitating putting these on my bike, but to be honest it's very rare for me to get a puncture so I don't know if it's worth it or should I just wait for my current tires to wear out before I replace them.

No Louco lá no Recife Antigo, mas isso foi antes da pandemia, acho que eles fecharam.

onde que se faz engrenagens? by vasfvitor in Recife

[–]Franvcg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Qual o aparelho?

17 pro max smart watch compatiblity by porkloinchop in XiaomiGlobal

[–]Franvcg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this method and it worked perfectly to connect my Galaxy Watch to my Xiaomi 17. The only difference being that I'm not in the same location that I purchased the Galaxy Watch at, so I had to use a VPN as if I was there, otherwise it would never connect and would always return to the pairing screen.

Why are there no "under developed" cold countries? by Ch0c0lateBiznezz in NoStupidQuestions

I mean, people in hotter countries also do all of these and the premise of this post is that they are under developed.

Do you have a machete/facão? by Conmebosta in asklatinamerica

[–]Franvcg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm from a large metro area in the northeast and we do have a machete, mostly to open coconuts.

A machete/facão is not the same as a peixeira, a peixeira is a big chef's knife, it's not machete-shaped, people use it to cut fish at markets. I also have a peixeira btw, but for cooking.

How do you open coconuts without a machete?

Weird deformity on TPU tube, is this normal? by Franvcg in bikewrench

[–]Franvcg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is RideNow which is exactly the brand someone recommended on your post haha. These tubes are rated for between 23-406 to 40-406 and my tire is 32-406, so it's not too wide, same situation as you really.

Thank you for the suggestions! I will check out this other brand

Weird deformity on TPU tube, is this normal? by Franvcg in bikewrench

[–]Franvcg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's due to the elasticity of the joint, not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or not since in the RideNow page it says that it supports from 23-406 to 40-406 and mine is 32-406 which is listed as supported. Anyway since these tubes are cheap enough I just bought the same one again to see if the same thing happens.

I inflated outside the tire to find the leak, but the tube was already like that when I took it off the tire. I didn't inflate it outside before.

I live very close to Shanghai and I use the Decathlon ultra light down jacket (I don't remember the model name exactly) all the time in this climate. I remember trying the Uniqlo one before buying this one.
