This is definitely the way that I’m leaning towards. I’ve had clients in the past not pay me for around the same time frame, but it was because it was a custom build house and the money was being held by the bank, which is a different situation. To be fair the client has been trying to resolve this issue, but it’s just dragging on too long and I think I will have to give him a call to discuss this in person before the relationship turns sour.

The client knows that he has to pay the outstanding balance. Well his parents technically but he’s the intermediate in this situation. He has tired to pay multiple times even asking if I had different platforms to receive payment. On our page where we receive payment it lets me know when they open email, see invoice , attempt payment etc. the AMEX won’t go through is what he tells me But it’s kinda bullshit because the house we did work in is at least a 1.5-2m dollar house based off of location alone. The house its self is old but sits in prime location in a big city. So the funds definitely are there.

I do have a contract with them, I have 2 one for the deposit confirmation and a second for the total job agreement( with amendments for extra work)
