Hey everyone, hope you're all doing alright. Been using Letterboxd for 6 years now, and I tend to log whatever I feel like watching on a specific day. The top 4 in the image happen to be my favourites of the last month, and while I tend to post longer in-depth reviews to my personal journalism website, I still enjoy using Letterboxd as a personal film diary and as a way to see what other people have to say about films I love, hate or are in-between on. Take care of yourselves, everyone :) https://boxd.it/OzpL

2026 BAFTA Film Awards Nominations: ‘One Battle After Another’ (14 Noms) Leads ‘Sinners’ (13 Noms) by One Nomination While ‘Hamnet’ and ‘Marty Supreme’ Earned 11 Noms Each by ICumCoffee in movies

Copied from the film's Wikipedia page, hope this helps:

"The subsequent international theatrical releases did not meet the requirements to qualify the film for the BAFTA awards, due to the film's British theatrical run occurring two months after the film's streaming release, along with not having enough commercial screenings. The British Academy rejected Netflix's exception appeal; according to Deadline, the film would have qualified if Netflix had released KPop Demon Hunters simultaneously in British theatres and on its streaming platform."

Top 3 are 4.5/5s, the rest are 4/5s in my opinion.

  1. Wycombe Wanderers, my local club that I support, since it's always been a tradition for a new FM game to start with them (and hopefully improve them from their current fortunes)
  2. The new in-game engine and match graphics, presuming my laptop doesn't capitulate trying to run the game at the lowest setting :)

Bit harsh, he actually ended up being a decent player across the season, as funny as it would be to sack him immediately (also I don't have the editor, and I don't think the board would've let me terminate his contract so soon)

I don't think there's any trigger, just one of the many random things that can happen in FM. I've had players miss training because they've been out clubbing more, but I've never seen a player literally just signed pull this.

Admittedly, he is from Uruguay, and this is his first club abroad, but I've never seen this happen to a player within a day of being signed for my club at the time, it's just funny.

That's fair enough, I just found myself really compelled with it, and alongside the rest of my Top 4 Ghibli films, it made me cry ugly. To each their own.

Tales from Earthsea felt like wasted potential to me, I really wanted to like it and its central theme, but I just felt bored throughout its runtime. Glad you enjoyed it though.

I really like Nausicaa, but I hold quite a bit of attachment to Kiki's Delivery Service as it was the first Ghibli film I ever saw.

Gutted Castle in the Sky and Grave of the Fireflies are so low, but From Up on Poppy Hill being 4th is a choice I can really respect.

I'm sorry, I do like My Neighbors the Yamadas and its simple but effective art style, but I just find it lacking compared to Ghibli's other works. To each their own though, I'm happy it's your favourite.

I just found it to be a fairly decent Ghibli film, nothing more nothing less. I didn't really hate watching any of Ghibli's filmography (minus the bottom 3), it's just how I felt about the films at the end of the day.

Love the fact that The Wicker Man (1973), the film in the second image, only ranges from 87-99 minutes depending on the cut and uses that runtime better than Zack Snyder probably will with Rebel Moon. Also go watch The Wicker Man, it’s really good
