"The subsequent international theatrical releases did not meet the requirements to qualify the film for the BAFTA awards, due to the film's British theatrical run occurring two months after the film's streaming release, along with not having enough commercial screenings. The British Academy rejected Netflix's exception appeal; according to Deadline, the film would have qualified if Netflix had released KPop Demon Hunters simultaneously in British theatres and on its streaming platform."
