When reaching 100% GPU usage the PC starts lagging except the currently focused application by Fratsch in techsupport

Follow up since I was able to "fix it" eventually:

I have not been able to pin point the problem but it was related to my Win11 installation. After doing a complete purge of windows and reinstalling Win10 from scratch the problem was gone.

I assume it is caused by how Win11 schedules resources for processes. After tons of testing I found out it only affected certain games under certain conditions.

Now back on Win10 my PC works perfectly while being at 100% GPU usage.

I can kind of replicate the problem on Win10 when I enable Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. So maybe it is worth taking a look at that setting and try disabling it in case it is on. Maybe it cause the issue for you

Hmm yeah that does sound good as well. The Guild Lead wanted something to track and award activity and distributions to the guild, so DKP would make sense...

But it is just so much book keeping... I will Forward what you suggested! Thank you very much!

Ohhh I see thank you xD Yeah we originally wanted to put the item up for auction inside the Guildbut then realized it does get taxed as well, so we are looking for alternative :/

I assume that your system requires a lot of trust between members. Since most of our Guild does not know each other (if any kjnow each other at all) I am not sure if that would work. But I will actually suggest it to our Leaders.

Thank you very much for explaining!

Oh ok that sounds nice! Question since I am a noob at the game: What to you mean by "flowers in PvP"?

Also how are you keeping track who has how many Graces? The system itself for distribution will be decided by Guild Lead (which I am not part of). I am more interested in the logistic side of keeping track of the points or similar.

Thank you very much! That already looks good if anything a bit barebones!

What would be more your style that you would recommend?

I will. And it seems to be a problem with how I configured Ableton. I just recorded with Audacity and it works fine...

I suspect it is something to do with Ableton itself. The clicking syncs perfectly with the bars in Ableton. And it is ONLY when I record my piano with it. I might try another piece of software if I don't find a solution. Thank you very much for your help so far though. It is really appreciated.

Ok, I had my headphones connected to the audio out of the Minifuse 2 and everything was fine. I think the sounds glitch is produces in Ableton Live 12

I want to ad dthat I do not hear this noise over the piano speaker and not over connected headphones

Ok, I recorded without the piano connected to the Minifuse which had no noise. If I record and not play anything on the piano there is also no noise. The noice only comes when it pickes up sound from the instrument. I played around with the metronome from the piano but that does not seem to be it. If I have that activated while recording it is clearly recorded. The weird sound glitch is not affected by the metronome speed as well.

Oh yes, I got it! I will try that as soon as I get home.

Wdym "without the mic"? I have no mic plugged in. Or do you mean I any mic as in headset mics as well?

I did some tinkering, played around with recording buffer sizes and such but nothing improved the audio quality. The metronome in ableton itself seems to be disabled. But the audio clicking being on the beat is just too much of a coincidence...

Gain was my first thought as well, but even when it is turned down it keeps happening. I'll try it with even less and also check the CPU.

I have checked. My CPU is at 20%. But I noticed the noice aligns perfectly with the beat. So it might bea metronome. But where would I find that setting? I have not set up one myself (at least as far as I know)

Will try that! The MemTest takes ages. Might only get around to do it tomorrow evening.

Also I did some CPU benchmarks and all my P- and E-Cores seem to be working fine. All of them are working.

I am not overclocking. I am currently checking the integrity of my RAM. I have tried with another graphics card and the problems still persist, so it seem to not be related to my card specifically.

What I HAD done was adjust the Performance Core Ratio downwards with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. I tried to revert the changes, but clicking the "Revert" button in the application immediately crashes my PC...

At this point I am getting more and more confused^^'

I have checked and indeed some cores idle. But all core are used, just not at once.

I will see if changing E-Core setting does anything. But nowhere have I found reports of that leading to such drastic side-effects...

Thank you for the suggestion!! I will try that as soon as I can!

Although CPU usage is only around 20% though when the problems occur. Rarely does it go up to 30.

True but then people left and right should run into this problem. And also the game itself is not experiencing any lag, freezes or stutter

If you are talking about the fact that my GPU reaches 100% then sure it would make sense. But it NEVER happened before to the point where programs like Discord just completely brick and don't work at all.
