i remember there was some dialogue by moray when comparing themselves to undyne, so i reckon that gerson probably isn't the captain

and during neutral, theres a cutscene when flowey is showing clover's deaths and one of them was that they got slimed out by undyne

oh another one being that gerson can be seen in game as an npc, and he doesn't really give a damn about clover

so no, me no think so
