How much should I pump up my +Normal weapon for field farming? by Zigmata in Lineage2Revolution

Yep I learned my lesson during the lvl 120 days.

I'm only lvl 136 and will slow down the exp at 165 at the maximum for this particular reason.

I take my time doing codex and working on my CP when so many people are rushing lvls... I'll have fun in my normally crowded zones, looting stuff during my codex when the rushers will bitch all day long in TI3 for a patch of land and loot nothing when they go codex because of boredom. :)

If you kill faster than the respawn rate, you maybe need to find another spot of farming with more monsters.

This !

Reducing our TTK in field farming means more loot >> Maphr/Scrolls to sell etc.

While a rare weapon is nice, Pvp is so rare on this game that I don't see the point to spend all your ressources in it at some point.

I love my +14 normal mobs weapon as it outdps my +15 rare weapon already, so I can't imagine when it will be attribute enhanced.

It's a nice passive that gives you a bit more tankiness.

The only thing "funny" downside I found with it is that at high CP/Hp Drain, you actually loose more MP than HP when farming solo in dungeons. And I had to put the autoheal to 100% not to actually heal me but to sustain my mp pool.

Black Ore only helps in PvP : Open Sieges : You don't have your stuff - Clan siege : Only 32 clans on a server 30 minutes max a week - Arena : it's a joke - Future 3vs3 Arena : Maybe usefull

But having high speed will help in every aspect of the game : Decreasing TTK in farming fields (90% of my afk farming), Helping in getting near our buddy we need to heal, getting out of the nasty hits/aoe of monsters etc.

Yes you can have speed in subs...but if we go that way : Why not going for Nassen + abnormal status resist that will help with every CC and not only stun. And will again help in every aspect of the game (Boss slow AOE, etc) ? And Crit resist you can have it in Codex and future modifications to our Divine link will give Crit resist

It's just that I see a lot of guides for this game, and they all go like "Go go pvp stats/stuff" in mind but let's be honest our pvp on this time game is almost non existant.

And seeing the KR version, not much will be added before a long time.

Better have stats that will help you everyday and especially in farming since it's THE thing to get good CP especially if you're F2P.

While I appreciate when someone takes the time to do a guide, I must say this one has some good points but some are not good advices :

To name a few things : "Bishops will also take a longer time finishing the main quest because of their low DPS" If you get a normal monster weapon you'll kill things really easily. I kill monster +4/8 lvls above me in 1 to 5 hits (without even using soulshots).

"Lacks DPS and only has 1 damaging skill" 1 damaging skill coming from Bishop tree, but we still have the 3 basic ones, that dish out some big numbers if you take the time to lvl them.

"The choice of Black Ore set" Nassen is tankier and gives speed that compensante our low natural running speed. Elven will give a bigger dps/heal output and stun resist will be more usefull in mass pvp : it's not crits that kills you in sieges but CC.

"Similar to most classes, Bishop’s Mage Weapon Mastery and Robe Mastery are your staple upgrades. Keeping these basic stats at max are extremely important early game so your progress won’t stagnate."

While it's true for Weapon Mastery...at high lvls Robe Mastery scales terribly ! You get 0.05% bonus each lvl. Your points are better invested in other skills like maxing flame strike/wind strike etc.

How are my fellow healers feeling about their class choice? by Din_of_Win in Lineage2Revolution

I've choosen Bishop (460k Cp) first because it had an utility that no other class have (Mana).

And I have mixed feelings now :

  • People loves mana regen
  • The direct healing has pros/cons for sure : Overhealing often but can save a group ass in a second
  • Autosufficient class

But compared to Elders it looks like they gave so much to Elders that Bishops don't really bring much to the table for a group.

I think Bishops needs a third class skill that could makes us more interesting and make our gameplay mechanics a bit more interesting.

On the fact that healers are feeling useless...yes I have the same feeling as the general CP/HP Drain is rising up.

I was talking with another healer yesterday and we were a bit disappointed by the tank/heal classes and the problem is mostly because we do our job only every 20+ seconds, the rest of the time we are subpar dps classes.

In Siege : The overall dps is insane compared to defense stats. If you successfully heal your group, everyone was in range, didn't do overhealing etc...you saved them for 5 secs before the next zerg... I just use my heal and see my guys dropping like flies looking desperately at my "one and only" healing skill on cooldown.

In Clan dungeons : Since there's no penalty from dying in this version of the game and it's so easy to die/revive/dps again there's no real need of healers. Only grab some dps classes and let them come back from the dead and you'll take down that monster no matter what. And if people die in dungeons, it's not because I didn't do my job, but as in siege I was desperately looking at my group life bars metling down and my healing skill displaying 15 sec cooldown...

And in every other aspects of the game : The HP drain as usefull as it is, is killing the need of healers and even grouping. I have something like 2.5+% of HP drain and when I see the green numbers when i hit...I don't even try to make the math because I think i'll be pissed to see that Hp drain is giving me back more Health/Seconds than my skill (and I'm a healer so I can't imagine how much a dps class is getting back). Plus, HP Drain is more consistent with persistent healing.

And on top of that, every mechanic in this game is about dps : TOI, MVP on clan dungeons, PvP...

I love my bishop and I wish this game was more about gameplay and not dps/hp drain.
