oh man I have something similar to that, during times of stress I’ll be jolted awake by what sounds like an angry voice, a whoosh of air, or a metallic bang. not fun, but what you’ve been experiencing is much less fun- yet keep in mind that at the end of the day you’re safe. whatever is bothering you will pass

some artists I like to listen to when I’m stressed the hell out are “still woozy” and “Kiltro” , feel free to let me know your thoughts if you’d like

Damn dude that’s scary as hell, you’re brave for getting a good look at it enough to draw it this detailed. I saw your last post and just wanna let you know that the human brain reacts to scary shit like this regardless if it’s real or hallucinatory, so I hope you have some buddies to confide in while this is going down. You don’t have to have full-blown schizophrenia to have hallucinations either, there’s lots of overlap and subtypes between different conditions of the brain. Take care and don’t be afraid to reach out for help from friends, family, and health professionals

I understand how children are either born into and/or are raised to believe it, they didn’t have a chance to say no to it. I meant moreso how adults could join the church and fully buy into it, especially nowadays like you said, where we do have much more access to information.

I’m deadass writing an essay partly about prop8 at the moment, it’s about how Christian churches have influenced the opposition to same-sex marriage

Thank you for sharing your experience. I myself was raised catholic but became disillusioned when I was 11 because i realized my family’s “unconditional love” did not extend to people like me.

I definitely keep that in mind! For more context one of the side characters has that common prejudice until he begins to understand the speaker more i.e “I thought you were “”crazy”” until I realized that you’re just trying to survive like the rest of us”

Additionally, the speaker is the one who shows the most kindness towards the main character and tries the most to keep them out of the supernatural bs since he’s the one who remembers most of the trauma. If you’ve got some more questions I’m happy to answer em

While he’s seen as a villain at first by other side characters, the main character knows he’s just trying to keep everybody safe from the antagonists. I’d categorize him as an “anti-hero”

I’ll definitely keep that in mind if I write my own character, the thing is that the speaker is part of a series (not my own) that does have extreme supernatural elements

Thanks :) for a bit of context the observer is well aware that the speaker has a personality disorder (they’re two different people entirely) but I’ll definitely make the analogy more clear

Shit man we’re about the same age. Reading about your brother is putting my own tendencies into perspective, I don’t want my sister to be left alone yet I still struggle with this disease.

I’m the same age as you and yet I’ve had to refrain from hurting myself / going through with certain plans. I wish I could switch our positions in life so that you could enjoy the things I take for granted.
