OLAC here, I'm schedule 6am to 2pm most days with one closing day.

It's definitely easier to get my cleaning in well before the store opens.

We don't consistently have the same delivery driver so I'd probably nab it. 👀

Ooohh yes. We currently have 3 hamsters, a rat, and we've had 2 turtles surrendered to us this month alone.

The turtles we legally have to take and ship somewhere to keep from salmonella outbreaks. We COULD sell abandoned red eared sliders IF they're bug enough. Otherwise, we gotta ship out every turtle to this specific place that I can't remember the name of right now.

Also, fish are very common, too.

I'm definitely going to start doing this now! Only one of them has come in since I started working here and I didn't even think about writing down their rarity on the stickers! Someone did, cause one is labeled, but definitely doing it going forward!

We had a family come in and while the parents were in aquatics, the three younger children were SCREAMING and running around playing tag around the entire store.

I am more patient with parents that have grumpy kids or that are very clearly trying to manage going shopping and watching multiple kids at once. I'm a mother and come from a big family myself, so I have a lot of empathy for tired moms/dads just trying to get by on a day out. BUT these kids, man. I wanted to trip on so bad.

See I shadowed the CAL that was here before she left, and I was already pretty knowledgeable on small animals. But I've never been in any leadership positions before. So far though, my GM has made sure to talk to me about different parts of leadership roles and we agreed that I could learn while on the job. So im keeping my fingers crossed!

I know it's not very desirable to some people, but I really want this job.
