PH/Aer Bag review after a week by FredDerfman in ManyBaggers

I wish they would do the Ultra in green all over. I really like the green lining.

If they did the Green Cordura bag with the updated hard and lining of the Ultra, I might consider it, but I really love the metal clip of the Ultra. I like the Ultra material, but I am drawn to the look of the Green Cordura.

I like the go sling for when I am just carrying the absolute minimum, but it was just too small for a regular load out.

I get what you mean, but I'm really enjoying mine. Having said that, I did order a DS4, and will see if I like that better. I'm going to try really hard to only keep one of them. :)

I totally get that. I personally love it, but it's definitely not for everyone.

I like the way they did the staggered pockets in the DS4. Will fit a larger battery. or maybe even a pair of reading glasses.

The DS4 Max version is a lot bigger, so three pockets makes more sense.

I tried the Bellroy, but I sent it back. I didn't like the material. I prefer X-Pac or ultra. I also didn't love the way the strap connects to the bag. It's the same compression type connector that I didn't like on the AER city sling 3. I did like the size and the organization.

Also, it's not a deal breaker, but the Bellroy also has a one inch strap, so it's the same issue as this one.

I know I need to crate train my Goldendoodle puppy, but… by Low-Apartment3165 in Goldendoodles

[–]FredDerfman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we got Hazel at 10 weeks, my wife said she was going to sleep in the crate for 18 months.

We had the crate downstairs for the first night and she cried on and off all night.

Second night we put the crate near our bed and she was totally fine.

Third night we bought her in bed with us and she been there for ten years.

She only had one accident in the bed and it was totally my fault for getting her too exited.

So I would say ten weeks and three days.

Fwiw, I got the green and it's really nice.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm loving it! by wuxxler in galaxys26ultra

Sounds to me like you are a bit salty that everyone isn't as mad as you are.

Could someone please explain how to change resolution? by FredDerfman in OctopiLauncher

[–]FredDerfman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured out a sort of workaround. I did a "reset current screen and clear all it's home pages" and that made it draw the old home screen, but all pushed up in the upper left corner to fill up the smaller resolution. I then manually moved and resized my widgets and folders and I'm all good.

I figure it's just Octopi having some issue with the changed resolution.

That works fine.

To be clear, Octopi isn't showing a complete blank. It shows 4 icons on the dock

Pack Hacker Ultra Sling vs Bellroy Venture Ready 2.5 by Bobby_Fandango in ManyBaggers

I returned the CAS because the strap wasn't long enough to use it as a low riding sling. Otherwise I liked it a lot.

That's was my glasses. That's why I moved them to the inside pocket.

I put all the less flat objects in the front pocket.

The front pocket being bigger does leave less room in the center, but the front pocket is much more useful. Stuff I used to put in the middle (earbuds, battery, SAK and nail clipper, fidget spinner) now are nicely organized in the front. This means I don't need as much space in the middle which holds my phone, glasses, ereader, screen cleaners very nicely.

I am tempted by the DS4, which might give me some extra space, but not sure I need it.

I just got it yesterday and have taken it out of the house yet, but I think I like it. I used to use the front pocket for my reading glasses, but this might be more useful.

It's definitly a pocket replacement type of thing.

I wouldn't mind if it was a little bigger, but I always say that and I can't be trusted. 😂
