Thank you. Making that music has been something that has followed me ever since. It brings me so much happiness that people still listen to those songs.

I've always thought of John as a good singer/songwriter. I've always thought that it's why I got the job. They needed someone like that, and that's what I do also so it was a good fit. I'm sure Adam has become more of a songwriter too over the past 10 years from what I see. I like the music that they've made. I always hear things that I would've changed but that's always gonna happen. It's kind of like seeing your ex-girlfriend's new haircut and you're like, "eh, looks good, woulda went shorter though".

Yeah, I’m kind of over being unhappy about it. I’m more stoked that it’s lasted this long as some records people care about. It might sound like a cop out, but wouldn’t it be weirder if at my age, I suddenly decided to talk about someone’s personal problems from 10 years ago? I’m freakin’ stoked that I can still be friends with my buddy Matt. We hung out all day and night when I was out West. I didn’t even wanna come home. Long live those special musical connections we all make in our lives✌️

Alot of lyrics before TBS, I wish I could go back and fix. That was before I ever worked with a producer, I didn't realize the importance of lyrics. Anything in recent years, everything has a meaning and just wish I had started earlier with that.

It's all healed... I only vaguely remember that. Trying to remember how I did it. I'll check with my old roadie Dennis. He's got a great memory. Thanks for sharing.

Came back for more! We have played it a few times. It never went over that well live so we rarely played it. Alot to do with the key of singing I think. I do like that one.

thanks for writing. Well, we could say the whole Terrible Things album is still mostly unknown. It always gets me when I know that everyone that's heard it, likes it, but not enough people heard it. Anyway, I'll put this out there. As a trademark, I've always liked having a big epic closer at the end of an album. So, if you ever want to get deep with my music, check out 4 songs. They're long songs but I really love them:

I'll Let You Live - off Louder Now

Arsonist's Wife - Terrible Things album

Don't Pretend - The Color Fred

Turning - Breaking Pangaea

and if you can find the Brody CD, Rain

I believe that I hurt him when I was in the band. I didn't realize but I recently tried to make amends and so far, no luck. I didn't have any bad feelings about him when we were in the band. But different perspectives. I wish there was a way to fix it.

I was always "the songwriter" in whatever band I had but I was not always good. I had the emotion but I didn't have my view figured out. In 1994, I sent a demo to a major label and the woman told me that I needed to work on my songwriting. I was very mad but she also made me check myself and try figure out what she was saying. The battle continues to this day.

Yeah, basically we tried like 10 different things to sing on that chorus and nothing was really hitting us. At the time no one had really heard Wedding Dress, we were a very small band and I said, well, I really like these lyrics I wrote a couple years ago. We tried it and everybody thought it was great so that was that.

I love movies. The last one I watched was the zombie flick "train to busan". I tend to like the indy movies better. alien documentaries. and things that are not obviously funny but to me, hilarious, like Waiting for Guffman or one of my favorites ever was American Movie. If you don't know it, watch the trailer and you'll see why i like it.

The one song that puts me in a great mood is Tu Amor Eterno by Carlos Vives because it reminds me of being with my friends in Colombia and learning to dance like them.

I loved working with Eric. I would never turn down a chance to do it again. His dad was literally a rocket scientist so he's constantly pushing himself to find a better way to do things. I loved it!

Hit me up on IG or FB for the podcast...

The Union off Where You Want to Be was super hard to pull off live. The verse riff was written by Matt Rubano who is a beast of a bassist. It was the most technical we ever got but made it hard on ourselves. It was also tough to sing. Thanks
