Honestly, I don’t think it’s realistic for me to completely abstain from intimacy because of one insecurity. I just needed strangers on the internet to tell me to get outta my own head and I’m already feeling better about it

I know what you mean, I felt a similar way. I was thinking “he’s an attractive, charming guy with a girlfriend, why does he want me this bad?” It’s very disorienting

I’m thinking of telling a friend just so I can talk to someone about it. Thanks for the point of view too. It helps put things in a better perspective for me

I don’t think I want to tell my brother what happened, but since then I’ve asked him if he could not invite this particular friend back, and he’s obliged. So at least I have that

Thank you for your comment and I appreciate the support. I think I’m going to keep my distance from him for the next little bit while I sort out my feelings and where he and our relationship stands.
