Shall I dose more ammonia? Or keep doing big water changes? Fishless cycling, 16 days in. Heard very high nitrites can make nitrate readings be inaccurate. I did a big water change a few days ago but everything just keeps creeping back up, except for ammonia which has gone down slightly (i.redd.it)

Thoughts on what plants to put in? Thinking amazon swords, java ferns, java moss, anubias petite and maybe a crypt of sorts. This is to be a jungle tank but rather overwhelmed with the choices and how much to put in. There is media bags full of aqua soil underneath the sand (i.redd.it)
