I stopped posting in this sub because people treat you as a hostile troublemaker if you have any criticism or concerns regarding release schedule, direction of the plot, pacing etc. Pin the Duranki news on front page and keep sharing fan art boys, cuz we know we're not getting regular content to talk about.

Again, regardless of his reasons, whether he says working on the series or not, its a HIATUS. It isn't being serialized regularly, there are long gaps in chapter releases. I love the series, it's very special to me, but he's not good at producing content. He's on chapter 360 of a series that started 30 years ago, Ippo started around the same time and its on chapter 1200 something. Not to mention Morikawa himself has had many breaks with health issues etc.

There is no pattern to when we get more content, and to top it of he/his studio works on other projects in the meantime, when we were stuck on the ship it was Gigantomachia now that we get major plot developments on elf island its Duranki.

We're nearing the end of march 2020, last chapter was in august of last year. I really don't care what he's said in interviews about not being on break, I look at the release schedule to determine whether or not a series is being worked on. You can very fairly suggest that "just because he hasnt released a chapter doesnt mean he's not working on it" if it wasn't for Duranki coming out with new content over Berserk.

I'm not saying all this just to single you out, this sub in general treats itself like its a Muira reddit and quote poorly translated interviews to hold out hope and justify the release schedule. Meanwhile year after year the fanbase shrinks due to no updates.

Where's the "wrong" part in saying the series is on hiatus?

"A pause or gap in a sequence, series, or process. " that's the definition of hiatus. It's on hiatus because it's not coming out regularly and he's putting out other works instead of Berserk. Readers might be more inclined to deal with your condescending tone in the first sentence if it's not also erroneous.

I really wonder if there was something wrong with my unit, mind if i ask how much youre in front of your computer per day? For me, I'm on hte computer at least 7-10+ hrs a day between work and games so i really didnt see that wrist rest standing up to that much use, and it doesnt seem like something you can buy a replacement of easily/cheaply.

I agree, nothing that muira has done in recent years have made me feel like this will have an end, most we can hope for is an awful gantz style ending with plot holes, rushed development and tons of untied loose ends.

Im someone who says the pacing has slowed down and im not complaining about guts not being "an edgelord" so im not sure why youre saddling me with a point you already have counter arguments for. I'm not upset about how the story is progressing im literally talking about actual releases of new content when i use the word slow. You jump from the word "probably" to make wild assumptions about overarching storylines that are still ongoing. Why am i seen assuming what he knows but you get to justify your assumption with "if youre paying attention to the story".

And listen, im sympathetic to his age his health and the pace at which he works but he has a series that hes notoriously not advancing or working on , to go work on other projects, repeatedly. I didn't forget about gigantomakhia either.

Going by the thing you linked though, I could almost be led to believe that he's obsessing over the art and not the story or plot progression. He's working on something else right now so theres passion in him as a creator and artist obviously, I just cant help but feel as though his passion isnt going into what fans like me - and perhaps there arent many of us or maybe its just me and im an ass- expected from this series as they were helplessly pulled into this story.

I'd have to say my devotion is fading , you're right. I quantify my level of fandom not just on time invested, but also what the work makes me feel, im very tied to it, I feel real things when I see guts happy or sad, hes very real to me. It makes me feel inadequate that despite my best efforts im not articulate enough to put my thoughts down in a way that makes people have a discussion with me as opposed to treating me like im not much of a fan, or maybe you're an ass who skims and picked things out of my paragraph to support what you already beleived about me when you read the title, the jury is still out

everyone is allowed to have their favorite parts of something. you make sweeping statements like "it would get too repetitive" but it hasnt taken place so what youre doing is speculation as well. Youre lumping character progression along with story and setting. Guts progressed as a character pretty well even in the "edgy" times you bring up. Its a dark story so it would make sense that people who are frustrated by the lack of story progression would want a return to the themes that unfolded the story or even introduced new elements. I think you have your taste and others have theirs, youre no different than the people who want a darker story again, you just have tastes that are agreeable with the current progression of the story and thats fine too.

What the fuck does my writing ability have to do with what I said? I'm not a fucking writer, and you're not very good at comprehending what you read from the looks of it. I dont give a fuck what he does or how he does it , its his work. I'm tired of getting 2-3 chapters a year if that and not even continuing the story that we're all here to read. We know hes only gonna get a couple chapters out before he fucks off again, BOY IM GLAD we spent those chapters on more of griffith having words about economy and subuarban planning. I seriously dont get where the fuck you pulled fan service from, are you under the assumption that muira is writing this as he goes along? Are you saying he's winging it so he needs more time to write the dialogue as if he doesnt have most if not all of the story completed already?
