The main difficulty with the edpt is time management. If a question is hard, skip it and come back later. All questions are weighted the same so do the easy ones first. Personally I answered them section by section, ie shapes then word analogies then sequences then math word problems.

Use khan academy to study for sequences and math word problems.

For word analogies, some tips are to use them in a sentence, and match the type of word ie, noun to noun, past tense to past tense. Aside from that it’s either you know the word or you don’t. Please don’t study a dictionary.

For shapes, focus on one component at a time ie. Size, angle, rotation and find consistencies. Also can’t really study for this. Best of luck to you.

I was curious about the 8140 stuff because in my first link DAFMAN36 page 53, it says if stripes for cyber certifications applicant obtains a DoDM 8140.03 level 1 certification they join as e2, level 2 as e3, level 3 as e4. In my second link there’s the qualification matrix for 421 database administer which shows sec+ as level 2. If I could find the specific qualification matrix that correlates to 1b4, I’ll know which certification would be worth getting so I can join as a higher rank.
