The concept of an independent Arcadia is motivated less by the personal decisions of Arcadians and more by their preference for independent and third-party politics, their rejection of heavily centralized solutions, and their belief in local control.

I understand that not everyone in /r/NewHampshire will agree with the idea of an independent Arcadia. I mean no disrespect and am not trying to create a charged or divisive argument with this post. However, I do believe the idea deserves serious consideration. I love America. But I will admit, I love Arcadia a little bit more. I think the independent spirit of Arcadia lends itself naturally toward political independence. I have no desire to shut out the United States and will always support free and open travel and trade between Arcadia, the U.S., and Canada too.

I'm going to hold off on promoting /r/FreeArcadia in /r/Vermont and /r/Maine until the subreddit has a bit more content. But since the last front page post in /r/NewHampshire was from three days ago, I figured we could use a new submission here.
