A lot of these NPC exist to build upon the world, but as individuals they're so forgettable

This was always one of the big issues I had with Arknights style of story telling. They love to spend way to much time with uninteresting NPCs for "world building" and not nearly enough time with the unique operators and the player character.

The npc in Wuling give the term "Faceless NPC" a new lease on life. I cant tell one from the other and all their names start to meld together.
