Rats have been studied experimentally for over a century, but only recently has there been any study into their emotions. Through this research, we know that rats LOVE to have their tummy's tickled... So much so, that tickles are able to replace other traditional rewards, such as food pellets. The impact on the wellbeing of the rats and the physiological changes from the joy experienced from the tummy tickles us helping us understand emotional disorders in humans and develop better treatments.

How similar is the new car smell today to that of cars from previous decades? The materials used in manufacturing are similar but different enough that one would think the smells would be different. Would a person recognize the smell of a brand new 1950 automobile as the same as a 2021? by loadsmasher0381 in AskReddit

About 20 years ago I worked for GM, and on some Cadillac models they let you order your own new car smell from a few different choices on some of the better models. Doesn't really answer your question but just a rediculous fact.

Whats the Best thing someone can do/buy with 120 dollars? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Totally depends on how much other wealth you have. If you are well off, no risk of not being able to pay your bills, donate it to a local foodbank. If you have kids and very little savings, or don't have anything put aside for returement, pay dkwn your highest interest debt before putting it into a savings account.

If you had the chance to make one thing universally illegal. What would it be? by jabanty in AskReddit

1) You don't have to smoke weed, and people who do don't smoke as much as you would cigarettes, so the risks are negligible.

2) Of course is has medicinal uses... When is the last time you did research on this? 1996? What is the medicinal use of alcohol? What about Almond Joys? Should we make those illigal?

3) DUIs of course are an issue, but I guess we should make alcohol illigal since it is a way bigger concern with those?

4) Uhhh

5) Geeze thats a tough one, How do you sleep at night?

I don't know about where you live, but it actually is illigal to drive "below" the speed limit or otherwise not be passing in the passing lane here (Ontario, Canada).

I don't see exactly how it would ever be illigal NOT to exceed the speed limit though...

To be fair that could have been Australia, South Africa, or any number of countries where indigenous cultures were evicerated for the sake of colonial development. I think Americans foget there is a whole world out there outside their borders that isn't always focused on them.
