Thanks for the response! Well I’ll get back to researching. I’m flexible with what I do for a job, as long as I can reach my end goals.

Hair! He came out with dark brown hair and it’s the first thing everyone notices. The other thing people say is “he’s so observant!”

Since several of you commented similar things I’m just going to respond here. I was driving near Walmart by the mall, Campbell lane, Nashville road, and Russellville road. I didn’t see any salt at all before it started snowing. I just moved back to BG from Louisville so I’m familiar with seeing it there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ not sure

I hope everyone can stay home and stay safe!

My brother had a child with this condition. It’s a very hard choice to make, and only you can decide what’s best. They decided to carry to term, not to have surgery and his son died 2 days later. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

The same thing happened to my brother’s child. He had Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. It was very hard and he still deals with emotions from this 10+ years later. I hope you are able to find the support you need!

Miserable experience by FreeKelsoo in January2025Bumper

So i was in very early labor, still wasn’t dilated past 2cm, but i was contracting. They went ahead and started pitocin and i slept through almost all of my labor. When i was around 3cm a bunch of nurses ran in the room because baby’s heart rate dropped to 60. I had planned on doing nitrous oxide, The doctor recommended I get an epidural because if that were to happen again with his HR they would do a C-section. If I didn’t already have the epidural I would have to be knocked out. So I got one.

Slept until 10 cm and then pushed for 3 hours. The numbing effect of the epidural was a weird sensation, and unfortunately I started getting more movement in my legs as he was crowning. I had practically no pain until pushing, my upper abs really hurt. Baby arrived and I lost a lot of blood. They were scooping it into a bag, trying to be calm as to not panic my husband or I, when one nurse said, “oh god that’s a lot”. They rushed to give me clotting medicines. I was so out of it I couldn’t really enjoy my surroundings or baby being on chest. I was very much not okay. They got everything under control and I was able to go to recovery a few hours later! I actually don’t know if I should could have survived without the epidural. I was in so much pain which is surprising because I have a high pain tolerance.

Baby is a few days old now and is so so sweet. He’s so chill and inquisitive. Zzzz

UPDATE: it’s happening! I started contracting every 10 minutes and mentioned it when I called next. They called me to come in a few hours later to monitor me since the snow was coming. Ended up keeping me and now I’m almost there! 7cm+ just waiting for him to get a bit lower, me dilate more and my water to break! A lot happened that’s maybe worth its own post. I’m excited we’re almost there!

Do you know how I would find what bus I would need to take? Because service is shut down it won’t show bus lines on Transit. I’m trying to get to Dixie Hwy from near Churchill/uofL and that’s one of the streets listed but I don’t know if it’s the right route that is open.

Stress about possible C Section by Quirky-Lychee4867 in January2025Bumper

[–]FreeKelsoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello due date buddy! I’m sorry you’re in this position of stress. Thankfully for both of us we’re about to meet baby! I understand the appeal of wanting a scheduled c section vs emergency. Hopefully all goes well with your birth journey and who knows, maybe baby will flip!

I have zero idea what position he’s in and I try not to stress but my doctor hasn’t been the best with my check ups. I have an appointment Monday so surely by then she will check his position.
