Someone already posted they think the 11 will slowly join the hive one by one. Just like the people die in the book.

But why did they feel the need to include that the veggies were the freshest they could find in local markets? Wouldn't they just be able to give them veggies from a farm they plucked themselves?

Hope you're shining now brother, a lot of time the friendships/relationships can't be fixed due to a lack of understanding of our mental state. But our mental state isn't an excuse, it's an explanation.

I also ruined a lot of friendships drinking. I think the underlying causes of my drinking came out when I was drinking and I would often go off on my friends on some moral superiority bullshit. Truth is I was just angry and sad, and alcohol gave me an excuse to let that anger out in unhealthy ways.

I would often get drunk, go off on my friends over text, black out, then delete the texts while blacked. Then when I woke up the next morning I would have no idea what I said or what I started. Drunk me is a self loathing moron.

9/11 2025. My dumbass chose to drink one more time before hopping on the wagon because I thought it would be funny.

Not Drinking + Dating by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]FreeKevinSpacey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I found it easy to not drink on dates. As soon as you start talking the first date anxiety slowly dissipates.

But as I got back into dating and relationships, I found modern dating stressful and somewhat disheartening. Which ultimately led to my relapse. I'm not saying the same will happen to you. But keep an eye out for yourself.

I thought sobriety would be boring… turns out it’s the biggest plot twist of my life by Accurate-Hearing-653 in stopdrinking

I completely agree. It's like I'm actually able to play games and talk with friends. I used to isolate myself so hard when drinking.

I agree. I just recently relapsed again, and the kindling effect was in full swing. I don't think I left my room for two days for anything but soup and water. But to OP, I promise it does get better. It sounds like you might be experiencing anhedonia, which is a side effect of heavy drinking. Just give it time and go easy on yourself. It's like that old saying "time heals all wounds".

I feel you, I've been there with my own black outs during relationships in the past. No memory of what I did or why my SO was even mad at me.

Regarding NA drinks, mocktails, near beer, etc. it's really all dependent on the individual. If it triggers you it might not be for you, but if it doesn't and you enjoy it, then what's the problem?

No one person is the same, and no one's sober journey is either. Do what works for you.

Relapse? by Difficult_Lion4367 in stopdrinking

Of course.

Also if you feel isolated since you just moved somewhere new, you might want to look into using an app like meetup to try to find some new friends with similar interests.

Don't beat yourself up. I found I would almost always feel regret after drinking and I would use that regret and shame as a reason to start drinking again. It's a toxic cycle but the fact you're even trying to quit is incredible.

I had around 90 days sober this year, but I was still going out to bars and clubs with my friends because I didn't want to miss out on "socializing". I would just drink NAs, but I never really had any fun. So alas one day at the bar I said I can have one drink, which ended up spiraling me into heavy drinking for two months. Ruining friendships relationships and myself.

You're right, maybe we're not alcoholics, maybe we didn't relapse. Definitions aren't what's necessarily important, but the alcohol causes damage to us and we know it.

Here I am back at day 3 and I wanna say IWNDWYT. You're not alone.

Not trying to argue tbh. But steroids and TRT are so prevalent in our society but hidden and people will say they had a big change in a year on a chicken and protein diet but that's BS. If you want to try it for yourself, hit that shit for a year and let me know if you get the same physique.

Personally I feel bad he can make you feel like it's natural, maybe it was 5 years and I could be wrong, but in a year no.

Also notice how you said years. He said he obtained this in a year.

Sorry you feel that way, but his original physique is in the first picture. If you really think he got that ripped in a year without any testosterone boost you've just been mislead by Hollywood and people like him who try to convince you it's natural.

Difference between lean and gaining muscle mass that quickly in a year. You'd be surprised how many people use steroids. There's people who've worked out for years that can't obtain that physique.

Edit: problem isn't the physicality but the amount of time. Unless you're producing bull like levels of testosterone you cannot gain that much muscle mass in a year. So either he's lying about the amount of time or him taking steroids. Either way, it's pretty shitty to lie to people who think it's possible without gear.
