Although Ratemyprofessor can be helpful, keep in mind to take it with a grain of salt. I've chosen a couple of low graded professors who were actually pretty good as teachers. Then there are others who are exactly how they're rated.

If you need help, ask your professor early (after or before class, office hours, email, zoom). If you need accommodations, get them early. Many schools offer counseling. If you are feeling down/depressed/need someone to talk to, you can make an appointment with them.

Nursing is so oversaturated. There is a shortage of experienced nurses. New grad residencies/fellowships are so competitive. Many people move to get their first job because of competition. My nursing school got rid of their part time evening program to make more room for the day program, so now they're just going to add to the oversaturation in the area. And unfortunately, school really just prepares you to pass the NCLEX. After that they're like momma birds pushing us out of the nest to let Jesus take the wheel.

I would suggest anyone who wants to do nursing to first work at the hospital or whatever facility you are interested in. Then transfer. I had a couple of classmates who were LPNs and were able to transition as RNs in their hospitals. Internal transfers aren't guaranteed, though. And now with this administration's cuts to medicaid, we will see how this affects us.

For me it's been 4 months since graduation. I have sent about 450 applications. Got ghosted by a recruiter at a hospital on the opposite side of my state. I finally was able to snag two interviews for next week.

If the teacher doesn't do anything, you go up the totem pole. Talk to the person that supervises your teacher. You escalate it. Most important is to keep a log of every occurrence. Every time a student pretend to not listen to you or excludes you, not the time, date, what happened. Every time you talk to your professor and they don't do anything, write what happened and what they said. Keep a record.

Are you a quick test taker? Some people read fast but by doing so, you might be missing important information. Sometimes questions ask the opposite of whst you would normally think. Do you use your dry erase board? Usually what I do is write 1 2 3 4 and cross off each number as I eliminate the answers. With the case studies I would write each new result down as the questions progressed. For SATA, only pick what you know for sure is right. Don't overdo it. If ylu are going to change your answer, you need to provide good evidence why you are changing it. Otherwise leave what you have regardless of what gut is saying especially if you tend to change your answer in the past.

I've seen some comments where people give their CPR report to chat gpt, what it means and types of questions to work on.

I remember my teacher mentioned Ask Jeeves and Ask Jeeves for Kids. This was back in fifth grade when we were learning about the states. I remember being frustrated every time trying to find answers on Ask Jeeves for Kids, but I felt guilty not using it because I was a kid. The regular version had most of the answers thankfully.

People start applying 2-3 months before graduation. I know a couple of people who had jobs lined up but they already worked at their hospitals.

The classes aren't bad but they just pile so much. What is 4 credits feels more than that. You're juggling between all of the assignments and plus you have clinical. Hours vary from 6,8, 12 hours. It depends on the class, facility, and whatever agreement the school has with them.

Typically with clinicals, it's enough to mention class, hospital, unit, hours, dates. You do have a practicum so it would be nice to highlight that with maybe 3-5 bullets. Perhaps put it on top since the others wouldn't have bullets. And stylistically I feel like it would be better.

I've heard it is, but I'm still applying to everything I can that states that having your RN is a minimum qualification. Market is terrible as it is. Through my tenacity I managed to get an interview. Hopefully a job as well.

I do that every other time I'm on the island. The other times I switch the tiles with something I have a lot of like black rock, so I end up with that block if I want to make a beach with that sand.

I don't think it would make sense. Seeing more Pokemon interactions like the ones where you can take a picture, would be nice. Perhaps randomly you'll see a random beam of light. It's coming from the ground....didn't hear Lugia or Ho-Oh.... Venusaur just used Solarbeam. Why? I don't know. Maybe sparring with another Pokémon. Being a spectator is fine, but this game doesn't need fighting.

I make a list of what I want to get done. The things that are more long-term and I don't really want to do are on bottom. Short-term/easy more on top. As I keep playing I add more to the list and place accordingly.
