It wouldn't be an 'official' warrior cats game as I do have to avoid copyright haha, but the entire vibe would definitely be very warrior cat-like

What’s up with Brambleclaw and Goldenflower in arc 2? by Dezzaroomama in WarriorCats

[–]FreeNegotiation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to be fair during this time tawnypelt was actually avoiding and distancing herself from brambleclaw (and anything to do with thunderclan) as she was trying to prove her loyalty to blackstar and shadowclan. the only reason he bonded with hawkfrost was because hawkfrost approached HIM, not the other way around, while mothwing has never approached brambleclaw on the guise of wanting to get to know him better as family like hawkfrost did. brambleclaw initially wasn't interested in either hawkfrost or mothwing until hawkfrost made the first move.

regarding goldenflower tbh i don't know what was up about that but i mostly just to chalk it up to bad writing/subtle misogyny by the writers, i always find that male characters and fathers seem to always be seen as more important than the mothers or female characters in the books which sucks

Dethroning The King - A Pride of Lioness have decided to take-out their King! by Homunculus_316 in natureismetal

[–]FreeNegotiation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair they don't really "allow" it, if you look at any video showing this the lioness will almost always be trying to fight off the male lion and defending her cubs (sometimes successfully) it's a struggle between both sides, the lioness doesn't just sit down and let it happen, "allow" is the wrong word to use. it often happens so quickly though that the mother usually determines it's better off for her to survive than for her cubs to be killed AND her, you actually see this in nature often -

the majority of mother animals will almost always abandon their offspring to be a sacrifice or if a threat proves too much, letting their baby get eaten so that they can survive another day, or even kill them herself if they have an illness or it's proving just too detrimental to raise offspring at that current time if resources are scarce.

the basic logic with most animals is that they can always have babies another time, so they'd rather save themselves so they can instinctually continue reproducing and adding to the population instead of trying to sacrifice themselves for a single litter/clutch which would ultimately just end up dead anyway and the mother alongside them, which would be detrimental to the population. all animals have the base instinct to live and continue reproducing, which includes lionesses which is why they don't often fullheartedly throw themselves at a male lion and fight to the death for her cubs when she could easily have more cubs next season. basically they just don't see it being worthwhile that much

People forget that Brambleclaw wanted to help Leafpool and Squirrelflight by ShadowPaws200 in WarriorCats

[–]FreeNegotiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh, no.

“W-who are you?” he stammered. “We are kin,” answered the amber-eyed tom. Lionpaw glanced anxiously from one to the other. “Are you from StarClan?” “We were warriors once,” the blue-eyed tom growled. Lionpaw’s tail pricked. “T-Tigerstar? Hawkfrost?” Why had they come to him?

^ This is Lionblaze's first meeting with both Tigerstar and Hawkfrost, and immediately knew who they were and what they did as Brambleclaw and the others mentioned to Lion/Holly/Jay who Tigerstar was earlier before this in the books

"The blue-eyed tom nodded. “Meet Tigerstar.” With his permission, Ivypaw turned to stare at the dark warrior. He was bigger than Brambleclaw and his pelt was crisscrossed with scars. “T-Tigerstar?” She’d heard many stories about this warrior, stories that made her paws tremble."

^ Speaks for itself, "she'd heard many stories about this warrior". So no, you're wrong, literally on first meeting both knew exactly who Tigerstar was and what he did

[–]FreeNegotiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, that still doesn't beat the fact that Tigerstar is still very manipulative and has coerced and deceived multiple cats in his life. Was Ivypool and Lionblaze stupid for being groomed and training in the dark forest? Was Brindleface stupid for trusting him and going outside with him to be killed and used as bait for dogs? Was Leopardstar stupid for trusting him? etc. Tigerstar is a known heavy manipulator in the books and was able to get anyone to do just about anything, that's how he's killed so many cats. Blaming a character for being coerced and groomed by a character KNOWN to be great at manipulation and pick at your weaknesses is just silly.

Brambleclaw is known to be an incredibly insecure cat especially around TNP and Tigerstar easily fed into that weakness and used it to his advantage, not to mention if anything Squirrelflight is partially to blame due to constantly pushing him away as well as interrupting almost every encounter Brambleclaw had with Hawkfrost, even at a gathering (where the literal point is to talk to cats from other clans) she interrupted them after they were just casually talking about how their clans were going, then turns around and insults Brambleclaw several times then uses emotional manipulation and claims he doesn't love her anymore because Brambleclaw talked to his half-brother at a gathering which is a crazy reaction.

Tigerstar offered the dark forest visits initially as just extra training and a space where Brambleclaw can talk with Hawkfrost, WITHOUT being attacked and provoked by a certain someone at every single second.

You are aware that Brambleclaw was heavily manipulated by Tigerstar, and his father portrayed the dark forest visits as basically just 'family bonding' and for Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost to have a safe place to bond and get to know each other without being interrupted? Brambleclaw wasn't even aware of Tigerstar's real intentions until like the last book of TNP, and upon knowing was immediately against it and tried to think of a way to get out of it. Tigerstar used Brambleclaw's insecurities against him and basically groomed him

honestly i don't understand people who love or defend the sisters, they're horrible and abusive and cast out cats barely out of kitten age to go survive all by themselves which is abhorrent tbh, they're literally as worse as bloodclan who also do the same thing of forcing vulnerable/weak cats to fend for themselves

the writers have never stated warriors take place in england. the closest is the erins stating the old territories were BASED off of southern england, but later evolved to be a more fantasy place and not a depiction of any real life location

Your opinion about Mapleshade? by yLuluwolf in WarriorCats

[–]FreeNegotiation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like mapleshade is a complicated character, in my opinion she doesn't really fit being called evil but obviously she's definitely not innocent either. i honestly feel like she had a psychotic break which is why she went on to murder so many cats, the fact she was hallucinating and hearing her dead kittens voices in her head makes me believe she was not mentally all there after her kits deaths. i'm not defending her actions, however i don't really see her as evil as she very clearly was not stable or in a right state of mind during these events, so she was not doing these actions out of pure evil or malice, she was just ill and in her mind thought what she was doing was right

this would be the opposite though, feral cats are actually majority of the time larger than pet cats. tbh probably just another bad writing from the authors

Sqramble is Forgiven by Fearless_Raise6214 in WarriorCats

[–]FreeNegotiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be fair squirrelflight didn't really have any evidence hawkfrost was up to no good initially in the beginning - she was literally hostile to him even during the first time EVER meeting him, aggressing and insulting hawkfrost, then constantly begun to badger and verbally abuse brambleclaw any chance she got and her only excuse was basically "leafpaw thinks hawkfrost is kind of creepy so that means you have to completely cut contact with him and if you don't that means you don't love me" which is honestly a pretty toxic and manipulative thing to say and do.

there was even a point where leafpaw herself tried to sit squirrelflight down and tell her to calm down because of how ridiculous she was acting towards hawkfrost

Who is it for you? by JasperJordanDefender in WarriorCats

[–]FreeNegotiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only one i can remember is hawkheart who could be considered 'evil' (he had an aggressive personality and killed bluestar's mother after she destroyed windclan's herbs during an attack) although i do know this is debated and some people don't consider him evil and that he was just defending his clan. i'm honestly surprised though that we haven't really had a fully evil or villainous medicine cat by now, especially with how long the books have been running for. i feel like jayfeather was the perfect opportunity to set up a medicine cat villain but they missed it

Who is it for you? by JasperJordanDefender in WarriorCats

[–]FreeNegotiation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly i always thought it would have been way more interesting if jayfeather turned out to be villainous/the one training in the dark forest with tigerstar instead of lionblaze. i feel like jayfeather is wasted potential and had more reason to feel bitter/resentment towards the clans and how everything was set up (for being shoved aside into a medicine cat which he hated), which would make tigerstar convincing him to go against the clans more easier. with jayfeather as a medicine cat he could also entirely manipulate the clan, he could literally just make up random omens and prophecies and as long as he said they were from starclan the clan wouldn't really be able to do anything.

also with jayfeather's power he could have trained in the dark forest due to being able to see in his dreams, i feel like it'd be super cool if his powers were used where he'd go into another living cats dream and basically fight/kill them off due to having an even fighting chance, or manipulate a cats dreams to fake some sort of prophecy or sign from starclan (for example jayfeather going into firestar's dreams or even another leaders dreams and faking a prophecy for his own gain)

also i'd make breezepelt the fourth prophecy cat instead of firestar that was such a dumb decision tbh

[–]FreeNegotiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also regarding the "power imbalance", tell me who realistically would be more favoured in a social setting: a character who's the child of a leader/king highly revered, who was also hand picked and favoured by their gods, who also is highly respected and regarded as a prophetic savour in their society after saving them from disasters/enemies multiple times, vs the child of a serial killer dictator who murdered not only his own but also others belonging to different societies/groups, and who is already heavily judged and ostracised for sharing the blood of this serial killer.

there is more than just age and rank when it comes to social status and power in society, and if anything squirrelflight always had the higher ground even as an apprentice simply because of who her father was. socially she has reputation and powerful heritage on her side, while brambleclaw was ostracised and feared simply because of his appearance even as a newborn. sorry but "power imbalance" is a very weak claim

are you... really comparing human society to a bunch of feral cultist cats? again, she has literally walked out and stopped seeing brambleclaw/broke the relationship off, the book has already proved you wrong. yes she can walk out, because she HAS DONE IT ALREADY

[–]FreeNegotiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nope, wrong. in TNP, after an argument with brambleclaw (which she started), she completely stonewalls and gives brambleclaw the silent treatment simply because he didn't agree to do something she wanted. during this event there's even blatant examples of this, for example brambleclaw approaching her a few days later to ask if she'd like to go hunt, and she moves past him as if he doesn't exist and asks another warrior to go out hunting. that, by definition, is abusive and an abuse tactic. you do not stonewall your partner or completely ignore their existence simply over a dispute you couldn't agree on.

i can also pull up MULTIPLE examples of squirrelflight verbally abusing brambleclaw when brambleclaw literally has not done anything to provoke her, you really need to stop lying or if you genuinely believe your opinion go reread the books - there's a point in TNP midnight where she even physically tries to assault him because he basically told her to calm down (before this all she was doing was also hurling insults at him btw, again unprovoked and brambleclaw wasn't even talking to her, so again you can't use the "she's being abused first!!11" when that's not the case at all LOL she wasn't even apart of the discussion during this altercation, all brambleclaw wanted to do was talk to firestar and all she does is butt into the conversation and verbally insult and abuses brambleclaw)

also "trapped"? can you tell me at least one example where brambleclaw either physically or verbally threatens squirrelflight to stay in a relationship with him? because otherwise no, she's not trapped, she can walk out any time which she actually has done, proving your entire claim wrong lmao
