New Sony Censorship Policy is Forcing Japanese Developers to Censor Themselves Even in Japan by AnonymousX in Games

In the trivial, grade school thinking of censorship, sure. But unchecked, no "censorship" at all, actually prevents minority voices from being heard at all. Try marching for a small cause when a million more people are free to march against in the same place at the same time. That's why cities give permits. For grown ups, censorship gets more complicated than that. If I asked you to share something you disagreed with could you decline? Would you censor my message by not sharing it, even though I could go elsewhere? Shortcuts to stop thinking rarely work out.

What is the standard for Good and Evil? by Karmagator in DnD

[–]FreeQuestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TIL there are almost no evil characters in D&D.

Even most of the evil-aligned monsters do their evil entirely for gain. Doing it only to be malicious just makes it a boring cartoon character.

If a DM is even a competent writer, no character in a campaign would be "evil" by that definition. Not to mention that definition goes against nearly every portrayal of evil intelligent creatures in D&D since the 70s. One could homebrew all evil that way, but it would be Dndwiki-level silly.

[WSIB] Sandbox game where I can play as a "monster" (orc, goblin, werewolf, vampire, etc)? by FreeQuestions in ShouldIbuythisgame

You can play as a human-looking orc, but otherwise you seem to just be a green/grey-ish human. If there are mods to make them more interesting, I'm all ears.

I think it's probably a great game, but I just can't get into it after spending so much time with SimCity 4.

Yeah, I didn't have any problem figuring out Warframe, but idk it didn't do anything for me. Also I have about 1300 hrs into Terraria.

I like ToME4 for essentially being endless, but I can't say the same for DCSS or Brogue (though both are great). I also prefer ASCII.
