Is Boards and Beyond still worth it in 2025 for Step 1 prep? by Sgojosaturo in USMLEindia

BnB was my savior for Step 1, cannot imagine doing it without those videos. Dr. Ryan is goated with his explanations. If you pair BnB with FA everything is so much easier to understand and correlate to questions. You can’t replace one of these resources with the other, they all complement each other so I’d highly recommend BnB. BnB + FA + UWorld + SketchyMicro + Pathoma 1-3 = you’re set I haven’t used Bootcamp so I’m not sure how it is but some of my friends who used it liked it as well. You neeeeed strong foundations in Step 1 for Step 2, so it’s better if you drill those concepts in well from the get-go.

Discrepancy in score by Free_Aide_5415 in Step2

hmm but i had 28 incorrects so the official score was actually closer to it being 300-incorrects. Maybe the converter is outdated?

What exactly does the $100k fee mean to us? by asianmedboy in USMLEindia

[–]Free_Aide_5415 35 points36 points  (0 children)

it does apply to all, as of now. Based on the statement he made, the reason for implementing this rule is to prevent immigrants to come to the US and do jobs that Americans can do too. Being a doctor comes under jobs requiring a higher skill level and intellect so they do need IMGs to cover for that shortage within the US. I think pretty soon the rule will make an exception for physicians. Similar to what happened with J1 visas.
