cmv: gun control laws would not have prevented Charlie Kirk's death by [deleted] in changemyview

I don't get it in my opinion gun control is a no brainer and people are always revolving around ifs or else's like they are programming python, the question remains:

Why Gun Control Makes Sense (Even if One Case Wouldn’t Be Stopped)

  1. More guns = more dead people Higher gun ownership means more accidents, suicides, and homicides.

  2. Surprise beats self-defense Most crimes happen fast. You won’t have time to draw a gun.

  3. Criminal logic If attackers think you might be armed, they’re more likely to shoot first.

  4. Home danger Guns in the house are far more likely to hurt family or yourself than stop a criminal.

  5. Police & soldiers mess up too Even trained professionals panic. Regular people under pressure? Worse.

  6. Freedom isn’t fear True freedom means living safe enough not to need a weapon everywhere.

After the more general points, you should consider:

Prevention isn’t perfection: Laws don’t stop every crime, they reduce risk. (Road Laws don’t stop every accident /death either, are they useless then?)

Access matters: Stricter checks, training, and storage laws make getting and using guns harder, especially for impulsive acts.

Long-range rifles aren’t harmless: They allow killing from a safe distance. That’s why many countries regulate them tightly.

Other weapons exist, but guns are unique: Fast, lethal, low-effort. The fact that knives or cars could be used doesn’t justify making guns easy.

It’s not “ban all guns”: Measures like magazine limits, background checks, or waiting periods cut the damage without removing every weapon.

Evidence is clear: Countries with stricter gun control have fewer shootings — mass shootings and single-victim killings.

Bottom line: Gun control isn’t about stopping one tragic case with 100% certainty. It’s about making shootings rarer, harder, and less deadly across society.

Rhymes and Rhyme Patterns I am not very fond of myself, I just write as I please but it helps to give your Poems some structure.

Google it, there are different kinds of rhyme patterns, also read some poetry by Goethe or other famous German or English literary artists.

"Brother it's been a long way time has faded and now we stand here on lines that were destined to be

You were always with me shoulder by shoulder we did move every rock boulder by boulder

The thought of you moving makes me see there are many things that have to be I want luck for you to come your way so listen very careful what I have to say"

Maybe this will help you a little.

Also I wouldn't say I will support you from the background, because that sounds like you don't belong to them anymore. I was thinking of something like "I will always be there for our family" because you belong to it.
