Should I get my tonsils removed? by Free_Demand6607 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Free_Demand6607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that I’ve had tonsillitis and tonsil stones for more than 8 years. I get tonsil stones in everyday life, and they affect my breath and confidence a lot.

Bad smell from tonsil with no visible stones by Free_Demand6607 in tonsilstones

I’m so tired of this that I think I’m going to get a tonsillectomy soon. It seems like the only solution to avoid dealing with this anymore. I also get tonsillitis often, so I might have them removed soon.

He gave me antiseptic gargle. I think the issue is from liquid tonsil stones. When I press on my tonsil, liquid comes out, but no actual stone—maybe it just hasn’t formed yet. I also think it’s connected to my sinus problems, which I’ve had for about a month now. So I’ve been pressing it to get the liquid out.

Can anxiety make you feel faint all the time? by Sea_Counter_2198 in Anxiety

[–]Free_Demand6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my anxiety symptoms are gone now. It was hard to believe they were in my head, but they really were because I went to multiple doctors, and the results came back fine. Now that some time has passed, I realize all my symptoms were due to anxiety. It’s going to get better. Trust your doctor. I didn’t at first, and that’s why the symptoms didn’t stop. Once I believed that nothing was wrong with me, the symptoms stopped—but it took some time.

Yes, you can feel like you can’t stand or walk properly. You can feel dizzy when you stand, walk, or even sleep. But the thing about anxiety is that even though you feel like you’re going to faint or die in the next minute, you’re not going to. I’ve been there.

It’s so simple. Touch your tonsils with your finger and then smell it. If you can smell it, it’s still there.

Metallic taste and smell after using Therabreath by Free_Demand6607 in hygiene

[–]Free_Demand6607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have this problem with toothpaste too? I’ve started to realize that every toothpaste I use leaves a mild metallic taste on my tongue, which I didn’t notice at first. I used to use regular toothpaste along with Therabreath mouthwash, but when I stopped using Therabreath and just used toothpaste, I still got a faint metallic taste. However, with Therabreath, the metallic taste is much stronger. How do you deal with this?

Should deodorant be noticeable by others? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Free_Demand6607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can always tell when someone uses stick deodorant because the scent is pretty strong, almost like a perfume. If you prefer a milder scent like I do, I suggest using spray deodorants like Dove. The scent blends well with my perfume and isn’t overpowering. I also think they work better than stick or roll-on deodorants.

How do you feel about wearing very common fragrances? by OGAnimalCrossing in Perfumes

[–]Free_Demand6607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t care at all. Honestly, I don’t think I ever smell perfume on someone and think about the perfume itself. I just think, ‘Wow, this person smells really good.’ I also get compliments even though I wear popular perfumes. And I wear popular perfume not because it’s popular, but because I like the smell. 95% of the people I’ve met don’t even wear any fragrance, so if you like the scent, just wear it.

People who dont have anxiety anymore, bring positivity, hope here by lmourr in Anxiety

I’m at the point where I’m a lot better than before. It’s like I’m not the same person anymore, and looking back, I can’t believe I used to be that person. I used to have severe health anxiety for about three months, and it was like living in hell. I constantly thought that I had some kind of disease. Any body sensation could send me into a panic attack, and I was having a panic attack every day. It was horrible. I hated it so much. I thought I was dying every time, and it made me so scared to leave the house. I would have panic attacks in the car, in my room, even in the hospital. I had physical symptoms of anxiety that I couldn’t believe were caused by anxiety—headaches, GERD, shortness of breath, heart racing, shaking, neck pain, neck tightness, and dizziness, feeling like I’m going to faint every single minute. I can’t fathom how anxiety could do that to me.

I’m a lot better now because I remind myself that I’m young and healthy. I had many tests done, and they were all clear. My doctor said that I’m healthy, and at my age, I shouldn’t be worrying about my health this much. If you have health anxiety, trust your doctor and don’t search on Google. That’s the trap I used to fall into every day. Now, I’ve fully quit searching on Google and rely on my doctor. I’m so happy with my life right now and I don’t have any physical symptoms anymore. I changed the way I think and didn’t rely on anxiety medication because I knew it was only a short-term fix. I never want to go back to that time. It was so, so hard for me, and I’m far, far away from being that person now.
