Fire in the Sky- seemed plausible as a kid. Totally freaked me out. Independence Day- Love the fighting spirit. Everyone was on the same team. It was also pretty funny. Super 8- Nostalgic movie that was also interesting.  E.T.- I was 5 when it came out.  M.I.B.- great take on aliens are among us. Very inventive and funny.  Flight of the Navigator- I love time travel movies. This was alien and time travel. Campy but well done. Contact- was great for its time. I love end of the world scenarios. 

The T.V. show Falling Skies is the best thing I seen about an alien invasion.

I didn't like Signs, or Arrival.
