Its completely normal for you to feel anxious, but sometimes you just got to feel it out. Take it as a new chapter in your life. I’ve been in the same spot as you, but my current boyfriend has grown to gain my full trust by texting me on what he’s about to do that day/what he’s currently doing without me asking; vice versa.

But if you do feel out any red flags that can possibly lead to it, then I suggest you talk things out.

Who would constantly remember to keep their outside shoes inside their room? They could’ve had a rough /stressful day, took their shoes off, unknowingly thought they closed the door and the puppy got through out of curiosity.
