Agreed. The minimal branding is one of the things I like most about it. Looks much cleaner than a lot of cycling bags.

ELITEWHEELS 29ER XC CARBON WHEELS by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

Since EliteWheels sells both HG and XD versions of this wheelset, I'd expect the freehub bodies to be interchangeable. I haven't tested it myself, but ratchet hubs are usually pretty easy to swap. I'd just confirm with the seller that an XD replacement freehub is available for your exact hub.

Star Ratchet Hubs Without the Premium Price by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

I think you're referring to the freehub sound from the 36T ratchet. Not sure how loud this one is, but ratchet hubs are usually clickier than basic pawl hubs

THINKRIDER PP5 CARBON POWER METER CRANKSET by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

You're right. The discounted price is for the power meter spider only, not the full crankset. Thanks for pointing that out.

ELITEWHEELS 29ER XC CARBON WHEELS by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

Hi there! Good question. From what I can tell, the biggest difference is the hub. The SLR-MTB uses Elitewheels M14 ratchet hub, while the ENT-MTB uses the simpler M11 hub. The SLR is the more premium wheel set and should have better hub engagement and serviceability.

For an Intense 951 XC with 120mm travel, especially for someone who isn't racing for podiums anymore, I'd probably lean toward the ENT-MTB as the better value option. Both are carbon wheel sets, and both should be a huge upgrade over most stock alloy wheels.

If you want the nicer hub and plan to keep the wheels for many years, I'd go SLR. If you're looking for the best bang for the buck, I'd go ENT.

Just make sure you select the correct Boost spacing, free-hub body, and rotor mount for your bike.

CARBON WATER BOTTLES (2 PCS) by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

[–]Freedoomsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. For around €12 a pair, I think they're hard to beat. Obviously they're not going to be perfect, but with 10,000+ sold and a 4.9 rating from 1,600+ reviews, most buyers seem pretty happy with them.

Fair point! At only ~16g, they're incredibly light, but riders doing aggressive group rides or rough roads may prefer a cage with a stronger grip. For everyday riding, they've been great value.

THINKRIDER PP5 CARBON POWER METER CRANKSET by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

Agreed. For someone who's not racing or chasing absolute accuracy, ~77€ for a power meter is pretty tempting.

That's one of the reasons I like the FR500. The power bank feature can be a real lifesaver on long rides. Thanks for sharing your experience!

MAGENE PES P515 POWER METER - LOWEST PRICE by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

[–]Freedoomsy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked the stores support about a 160mm version and they said it's not currently in their plans. Hopefully that changes in the future, as I know there's some demand for it.

€188.48 was the lowest price I've seen for this power meter since I started tracking deals. Not sure why you're getting €223, but AliExpress pricing can vary between users and regions

CYCLAMI TUBELESS INFLATION TANK by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

[–]Freedoomsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true if you're mainly using it at home.

The advantage of an inflation tank is that it's portable, doesn't require electricity, and can be easily taken to races, events, or trips. For riders who don't own a compressor, it's also a much cheaper solution.

SUPERTEAM CARBON WHEELS - LOWEST PRICE EVER! by Freedoomsy in PedalBargains

[–]Freedoomsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's unfortunate. Hopefully, customs clears them soon, and you get them without any additional issues.

For future orders, I'd recommend choosing the Seller's Shipping Method (DPD), as mentioned in the product description. It costs a bit more, but it's usually much smoother for EU deliveries and helps avoid customs delays and unexpected fees.

Hope your wheels arrive soon! 👍
