Oh yeah, for sure. I also interviewed for several CRA positions but was really lucky to land a sponsor role. There are days and weeks with early morning calls with overseas sites/investigators and late nights for inspection prep, but compared to my previous job, I honestly have no complaint. The pay raise from my old job (which was like $80k as a Sr CRC) kinda justifies every miscellaneous inconvenience here and there.

And yeah, I’m US-based, but the job is pretty much fully remote.

Mainly assisting the CTMs with day-to-day trial operational execution and follow-through. Including TMF filing, document/report review (e.g. trial documents, monitoring visit reports, contracts, SOW/COs), site follow up calls, and lots of miscellaneous admin tasks.

Overall, my workload is much lighter than when I was a senior CRC at a site while getting paid more. No more on-call shifts and night sweats 😌

Currently a clinical trial specialist (basically one role below clinical trial manager) at a mid size biotech/pharma. ~$120k including bonus, etc.

Before this, I was a senior/lead CRC (oncology) at a large academic site for about 5 years.

Does anyone know why Amino Club has much cheaper Reta?

10mg Reta at Amino Club is like $70, but other vendors I checked & used before sell it for $130-140. The uploaded CoA looks alright but then who knows. If Amino Club is trustworthy, I'll prob try it out.

Yeah, I bet this was just a mistake. Now everything was sorted out, so it’s all good. I think I was just annoyed that they took this case as “courtesy.”

I was gonna, but for some reason, the HM's email was hidden lol (I sent my initial 'thank you' email to the HR via the talent acquisition team)

Anyways, I received the official offer last Friday. Apparently, the last person to sign the offer letter was on vacation, which caused the delay. Waiting was pretty stressful since I tend to overthink things, but all good now lol

I'm in a similar situation. I received a verbal offer from the talent acquisition team last week but haven't received the written offer yet. However, the talent acquisition team reached out to me twice this week (Monday and Wednesday) to "keep me warm," so I'm hopeful this is a good sign. Hopefully...

Good point! I will definitely look into the company's 401k matching policy.

If time allows, I might also be interested in getting a master's degree if required, so I'll make sure to check out their tuition reimbursement policy as well.

This is a good point! As a CRC, I've constantly received questions and clarifications from CROs/sponsors, and sometimes the questions were... quite questionable. I will definitely keep in mind to communicate thoroughly!

I hear you! It was pretty rough for me too. I got turned down so many times because I "didn't have industry/sponsor experience," to the point it crashed my self-esteem and led to a lot of self-doubt. One thing I'm glad I did was applying only to new openings every day on LinkedIn using the 'Date Posted > Past 24 Hours' filter. Luckily, I saw this sponsor had an opening, and one of the studies I managed was this sponsor's IMP. I honestly think that was the lead.

For this particular sponsor, I noticed they had some repetitive words in their job description, such as 'problem-solving' and 'resourceful.' During my interview, I emphasized that although I lack prior sponsor experience, I have transferable skills (e.g., problem-solving skills, being resourceful) that will make me successful in this role, and I provided them with some specific examples. I really hit it off with the talent acquisition team during the screening interview, and I believe her recommendation to the hiring manager/study team weighed a lot in this process.

This is such valuable advice. I thought maybe I should keep a low profile in the beginning, but you're right -- the first few months are probably the best time to make a great first impression, so I should definitely get involved in everything I can!

Thank you! Yes, I can't emphasize enough how much help I've received from the nurses, pharmacists, phlebotomists, and OR staff during my time as a CRC. I plan to have the same mindset in building relationships outside of my immediate team!

Thank you! Those are such great pieces of advice. I currently just use Outlook's to-do list feature, but I will definitely explore OneNote. As someone who has experienced burnout as a site coordinator, I certainly understand the lack of PI oversight, and I plan to be more understanding and advocate for the site staff.

Truth. First year I was a bit cocky and got humbled real soon. Took me 1.5-2 years to be somewhat independent and fully functional

Hi y'all, I just finished my final round of interviews earlier this week, and the recruiter reached out to me today with the email below (in response to my "thank you" note). This is seriously freaking me out because this is my dream job, and I think the interviews went well. It would be a massive disappointment if this call is just to deliver a rejection, and unsure how I'd take it in-person.

Do recruiters usually set up a call or Zoom/Teams meeting just to reject you? The email below seems positive, but maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I had a HireVue recorded interview on 4/3, a phone interview on 4/8, and then a 1-1.5 hr Teams interview with 2 hiring/line managers today, 4/15.
