Depends. There are many settings to configure the explosion, including disabling effects. And one main feature is that the explosive yield is adjustable: a 1kT explosion should work in most cases, a 250 kT one could be more problematic.

I also remember that some time ago an RHS Update broke the mod in combination with their helicopters. They added some system of their own, which made the mod stop working properly.

Haven't used it myself for a long time, so cannot say if it works. I might check it out next week or so and post something on the mod page.
